Frame your hardware PM credentials precisely
Form Energy's program management work spans battery cell development, manufacturing scale-up, and supply chain coordination. Tailor your resume to show experience managing hardware or energy technology programs, not just software or general operations, before you apply.
Identify roles aligned with your visa type
Form Energy sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT, so match open Program Manager listings to your current status. F-1 OPT holders should confirm their authorization period covers the projected start date before submitting an application.
Search Form Energy's sponsored openings on Migrate Mate
Filter Program Manager roles at Form Energy by your visa type on Migrate Mate to see only positions where sponsorship aligns with your status, saving time you'd otherwise spend vetting individual listings manually.
Start OPT timing conversations early with HR
If you're on F-1 OPT with a STEM extension, raise your authorization end date in the offer stage, not after signing. Form Energy's hardware programs have multi-year timelines, so confirming an H-1B cap-subject petition is on the table before your OPT expires matters.
Verify your LCA covers your actual work location
Program Managers at hardware companies often split time between offices and manufacturing sites. DOL requires a Labor Condition Application that reflects where you'll physically work. Confirm with your hiring contact whether your role involves any site-based work outside the primary listed location.
Build a specialty occupation paper trail early
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for program management roles closely. Collect documentation showing your degree field directly relates to the technical scope of the role, such as engineering, systems management, or materials science, before your employer files Form I-129.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Form Energy sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Form Energy sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. Because these positions typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field related to the work, they generally meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard. Your employer will need to file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL and submit Form I-129 to USCIS on your behalf.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Form Energy?
Applications go through Form Energy's careers page, where you can filter open Program Manager listings by location and team. You can also find Form Energy's sponsored Program Manager roles filtered by visa type on Migrate Mate, which helps you confirm upfront that a role supports your specific sponsorship situation before you invest time applying.
Which visa types does Form Energy commonly use for Program Manager roles?
Form Energy sponsors H-1B and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term hires, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for early-career candidates and TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. The right visa type depends on your nationality, degree field, and where you are in your career.
What qualifications does Form Energy expect for Program Manager roles?
Form Energy's Program Manager roles typically require a technical bachelor's degree, with engineering, materials science, or manufacturing backgrounds commonly aligned to the work. Experience managing cross-functional hardware programs, coordinating with supply chain teams, or overseeing manufacturing scale-up is more relevant here than general business program management experience.
How do I think about timing when pursuing H-1B sponsorship at Form Energy?
USCIS opens H-1B cap registration each March for an October 1 start date, so an offer made in winter or spring aligns most cleanly with that cycle. If you're on F-1 OPT when you receive an offer, confirm your authorization covers the gap between your start date and October 1, and discuss whether Form Energy will file for cap-gap protection if needed.
