Align Your Credentials With U.S. Standards
If your bookkeeping qualifications came from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation before applying. Siemens hiring teams assess candidates against U.S. accounting norms, so a recognized equivalency evaluation removes ambiguity from your application early.
Target Siemens Roles With Specialty Occupation Language
Bookkeeper positions at Siemens that reference ERP systems, intercompany reconciliations, or U.S. GAAP compliance are more likely to qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B criteria. Prioritize listings with those terms when deciding where to focus your applications.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Siemens Bookkeeper Openings
Not every Siemens finance posting is set up for sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter open Bookkeeper roles at Siemens by visa type so you spend time only on positions where sponsorship is already on the table.
Ask About LCA Filing Before Accepting an Offer
Before signing, confirm your hiring manager has looped in Siemens' immigration team. The Department of Labor requires a certified Labor Condition Application before an H-1B petition can be filed, and delays here can push your start date back significantly.
Prepare Documentation of Your Accounting Software Expertise
Siemens operates on SAP and similar enterprise platforms. Gather documentation, certifications, or prior employer letters that confirm hands-on ERP experience. This strengthens both your candidacy and your visa petition by demonstrating the specialized nature of the role.
Understand How F-1 OPT Fits Into a Long-Term Sponsorship Path
If you're currently on F-1 OPT, a Siemens Bookkeeper role can serve as a bridge to H-1B sponsorship. USCIS allows cap-gap protection if your employer files an H-1B petition before your OPT expires, but timing the offer and filing correctly is critical.

Find Bookkeeper at Siemens JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Siemens sponsor H-1B visas for Bookkeepers?
Yes, Siemens sponsors H-1B visas for Bookkeeper roles where the position qualifies as a specialty occupation, typically when the job requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field. Roles involving U.S. GAAP reporting, ERP management, or intercompany accounting are the most likely candidates. Siemens works with dedicated immigration counsel to handle the filing process once an offer is extended.
How do I apply for Bookkeeper jobs at Siemens?
Applications go through Siemens' careers portal, where you can search by role and location. To find open Bookkeeper positions that explicitly support visa sponsorship, Migrate Mate filters Siemens listings by visa type, saving you the step of vetting each posting individually. Once you identify a role, tailor your application to highlight U.S. GAAP experience and any ERP system proficiency the job description references.
Which visa types does Siemens commonly use for Bookkeeper roles?
Siemens sponsors multiple visa categories for Bookkeeper positions, including H-1B for specialty occupation workers, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying accounting roles, and F-1 OPT and CPT for current students. For candidates seeking permanent residence, Siemens also pursues EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through PERM labor certification for eligible employees in established finance roles.
What qualifications does Siemens expect for a sponsored Bookkeeper role?
Siemens typically looks for a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, along with demonstrated experience in financial recordkeeping, month-end close processes, and ERP platforms such as SAP. For H-1B sponsorship specifically, the role must require a degree in a specific field, so generalist experience alone is unlikely to meet USCIS specialty occupation standards without supporting documentation from the employer.
How do I know if my visa type is eligible before I apply?
The fastest way to check is to review the job posting carefully for any sponsorship language, then confirm with the Siemens recruiter during your first conversation. H-1B and TN eligibility depend on the specific duties listed, not just the job title. If your status is F-1 OPT, confirm that Siemens is enrolled in E-Verify, which is required for OPT STEM extension eligibility. Getting this clarity before an interview saves significant time on both sides.
