Align your credentials to Siemens verticals
Siemens hires Business Development Managers across energy, smart infrastructure, and digital industries. Tailor your resume to show domain expertise in one of these verticals, not just generic sales experience, before you apply.
Verify your E-Verify eligibility early
Siemens is an E-Verify employer, so your work authorization must be verifiable from day one. Confirm your visa status is E-Verify compatible before the offer stage to avoid delays that could jeopardize your start date.
Target roles tied to strategic accounts
Siemens Business Development Manager openings linked to named accounts or government contracts tend to have stronger internal budget approval for sponsorship. Search job postings for language referencing existing client portfolios or public sector relationships.
Build your pipeline on Migrate Mate
Filtering Siemens Business Development Manager openings by visa type saves significant time when you're on a deadline. Use Migrate Mate to surface only roles where Siemens has an active sponsorship history for your specific visa category.
Time your application around H-1B cap deadlines
If you need H-1B sponsorship, your offer must be secured early enough for Siemens to submit a registration in the March lottery window. Starting conversations with their talent acquisition team in the fourth quarter gives you the most runway.
Request written confirmation of PERM intent
For Business Development Managers pursuing a Green Card through Siemens, confirm during the offer negotiation whether the role qualifies for employer-sponsored PERM. DOL requires a formal labor market test, so getting alignment in writing before you sign protects your long-term plan.

Find Business Development Manager at Siemens JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Siemens sponsor H-1B visas for Business Development Managers?
Yes, Siemens sponsors H-1B visas for Business Development Manager roles. Siemens is an E-Verify employer with an established immigration program, and this function falls within their sponsored categories. Because H-1B is subject to the annual cap and lottery, your offer needs to be in place before the March USCIS registration window to be considered for that fiscal year.
How do I apply for Business Development Manager jobs at Siemens?
Applications go through Siemens' careers portal, where you can filter by location and business unit. For a faster path to visa-friendly openings, Migrate Mate lets you browse Siemens Business Development Manager roles specifically filtered by sponsorship history, which removes the guesswork of identifying which positions are open to international candidates.
Which visa types does Siemens commonly use for Business Development Manager roles?
Siemens uses H-1B for the majority of sponsored Business Development Manager hires. They also support TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business roles, F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates entering the function, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for longer-tenured employees pursuing permanent residence through the PERM process.
What qualifications does Siemens expect for a Business Development Manager role?
Siemens typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related technical field, combined with experience in B2B sales or account development within an industrial or infrastructure context. Familiarity with Siemens product lines, government contracting cycles, or energy sector procurement significantly strengthens your profile for sponsorship-eligible openings.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Siemens Business Development Manager offer?
Timeline depends on your visa category. H-1B sponsorship requires USCIS lottery selection in March and approval before an October 1 start date, making the process roughly six to seven months end to end. TN processing is faster and can be completed at the border or port of entry. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship typically runs one to three years depending on your priority date and country of birth.
