Frame your degree around specialty occupation
Slalom's BA roles typically require applied analytical skills tied to a specific discipline. Make sure your credentials clearly connect your degree field to the business analysis function you're targeting, since USCIS evaluates specialty occupation fit at the petition stage.
Target practice areas that match your background
Slalom organizes its consulting work into vertical practice areas like technology, finance, and healthcare. Applying to BA roles within a practice that aligns with your prior industry experience significantly strengthens both your candidacy and your visa petition's specialty occupation argument.
Clarify sponsorship early in recruiter conversations
Slalom sponsors multiple visa types, so the pathway offered can vary by role, office location, and staffing model. Ask the recruiter directly which visa categories they're actively filing for that specific position before advancing to later interview rounds.
Understand how consulting staffing affects your petition timing
At consulting firms like Slalom, your H-1B petition is filed by the employer before your October 1 start date. Project placements can shift, so confirm that your offer letter reflects a stable home office arrangement rather than a client-site-only assignment.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open BA roles with active sponsorship
Not every Business Analyst listing at Slalom is posted with equal visibility. Use Migrate Mate to surface open BA positions at Slalom filtered by the visa types you hold, so you're applying to roles where your status is already supported.
Check DOL LCA filings to gauge prevailing wage expectations
The Department of Labor requires Slalom to certify that sponsored BA salaries meet prevailing wage levels for your work location. Reviewing public LCA disclosure data for your metro area tells you the wage floor your offer must meet before a petition can proceed.

Find Business Analyst at Slalom JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Slalom sponsor H-1B visas for Business Analysts?
Yes, Slalom sponsors H-1B visas for Business Analyst roles. As a large consulting firm, Slalom has an established sponsorship process and files petitions across multiple office locations. Because H-1B selection depends on the annual lottery run by USCIS, timing your job search to align with the registration window in March is important if you're starting from cap-subject status.
Which visa types does Slalom commonly use for Business Analyst roles?
Slalom sponsors several visa categories for Business Analysts, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals under USMCA, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students in their authorized training periods. Longer-term, Slalom also supports immigrant visa pathways including EB-2 and EB-3, which involve PERM labor certification through the Department of Labor.
What qualifications and experience does Slalom expect for Business Analyst positions?
Slalom's BA roles generally expect a bachelor's degree in a field like business, information systems, economics, or a related discipline, along with demonstrated experience translating client requirements into actionable solutions. Consulting experience, familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks, and the ability to work across cross-functional stakeholder groups are consistently valued. Roles within specific practice verticals may also require domain expertise in areas like financial services or healthcare.
How do I apply for Business Analyst jobs at Slalom?
You can browse and apply for Business Analyst roles at Slalom through Migrate Mate, which surfaces open positions filtered by visa sponsorship type so you can focus on roles that match your status. When applying, tailor your application to the specific practice area and client industry the role supports. Slalom's recruiting process typically includes a phone screen, competency-based interviews, and a case or scenario discussion relevant to the practice area.
How do I time my job search at Slalom around visa sponsorship deadlines?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, the USCIS registration window opens in March and petitions take effect October 1, so most candidates start interviewing in the preceding fall or winter. If you're on F-1 OPT, your 60-day grace period after graduation or job loss gives you limited runway, so targeting Slalom's active BA openings early in that window reduces the risk of a status gap before your petition is filed.
