Align your background with cloud platform operations
Snowflake's Project Program Manager roles consistently involve coordinating across engineering, product, and go-to-market teams on cloud infrastructure programs. Frame your resume around delivering complex technical programs in SaaS or cloud environments, not just generic project management.
Obtain PMP certification before applying
Snowflake's job postings for this function frequently list PMP or equivalent certification as a preferred qualification. Having it in hand before you apply removes a common screening objection and strengthens your H-1B specialty occupation case simultaneously.
Confirm your role qualifies as a specialty occupation
USCIS requires H-1B roles to demand a bachelor's degree in a specific field. For Project Program Managers, degrees in computer science, information systems, or engineering management are the strongest fit. Ensure your offer letter ties the role's duties directly to your degree field.
Target Snowflake's enterprise programs and deployment teams
Program Manager openings tied to enterprise customer deployments or large-scale internal infrastructure initiatives are more likely to carry sponsorship approval because they require specialized technical coordination skills that directly support the specialty occupation threshold under USCIS standards.
Track open Project Program Manager roles on Migrate Mate
Snowflake posts Project Program Manager positions across multiple teams and regions, making it easy to miss relevant openings. Use Migrate Mate to filter and monitor active roles at Snowflake that list visa sponsorship, so you're applying to the right postings at the right time.
Prepare for the LCA filing step before accepting an offer
Your employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS sees your H-1B petition. Ask your Snowflake recruiter early which immigration counsel they use and what the typical turnaround is, so you can plan your start date around the LCA certification window.

Find Project Program Manager at Snowflake JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Snowflake sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Yes, Snowflake sponsors H-1B visas for Project Program Manager roles. The company works with outside immigration counsel and has sponsored H-1B petitions across its program and project management functions. To qualify, your role must meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard, which means the position needs to require a bachelor's degree in a specific technical or business field relevant to the work.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at Snowflake?
Apply directly through Snowflake's careers page or use Migrate Mate to browse and track current openings filtered by sponsorship eligibility. Tailor your application to highlight cross-functional program delivery in cloud or SaaS environments, as Snowflake's hiring teams look for candidates who can manage complex technical initiatives across engineering and product organizations.
Which visa types does Snowflake commonly sponsor for Project Program Manager roles?
Snowflake sponsors H-1B visas as the primary work authorization path for Project Program Managers. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates in eligible programs, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations, and employment-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 categories for longer-tenured employees.
What qualifications does Snowflake expect for Project Program Manager candidates?
Snowflake typically looks for a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, or engineering management, combined with several years of hands-on program management experience in a technology company. PMP certification is frequently preferred. Strong candidates demonstrate experience managing cross-functional programs involving engineering teams, cloud product releases, or enterprise customer implementations in a fast-moving SaaS environment.
How do I time my H-1B filing if I receive a Project Program Manager offer from Snowflake?
H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed once per year, with USCIS opening registration in March for an October 1 start date. If you receive an offer outside that window and are not already in H-1B status, discuss OPT extension, cap-exempt options, or a delayed start date with your Snowflake recruiter and their immigration counsel as early as possible in the hiring process.
