Target roles that align with EB-2 and EB-3 requirements
Step One sponsors Green Cards through EB-2 and EB-3 pathways, which favor roles requiring a bachelor's degree or specialized skills. Focus your applications on technical, managerial, or professional positions within their dealership operations to align with these visa categories.
Understand that automotive sponsorship follows a deliberate process
Automotive dealership groups sponsor selectively, typically for roles where local talent is hard to source. Position yourself as a specialist in areas like finance, service operations, or technology to stand out as a candidate worth the sponsorship investment.
Lead with your long-term commitment in your application
Green Card sponsorship is a multi-year commitment from an employer. Step One is more likely to sponsor candidates who demonstrate stability and a clear desire to build a career in the automotive industry long-term, not just fill a short-term gap.
Research which departments at Step One are actively hiring
Green Card sponsorship at automotive groups tends to concentrate in departments facing sustained hiring demand. Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsoring employers by industry so you can identify where Step One is most actively recruiting right now.
Prepare for a longer hiring and sponsorship timeline
EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card processes involve PERM labor certification before USCIS filing, which can span one to two years or more. Start conversations with Step One early and be transparent about your visa situation to avoid timeline surprises during the offer stage.
Highlight skills that are genuinely hard to source locally
PERM requires employers to demonstrate they could not find a qualified U.S. worker. Emphasize specialized expertise, multilingual ability, or technical certifications relevant to automotive operations that make you a uniquely qualified candidate for Step One's open roles.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Step One Automotive Group sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship records, Step One Automotive Group does not have a track record of sponsoring H-1B visas. Their sponsorship activity is focused on employment-based Green Card pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 categories. If you require H-1B sponsorship, you would need to clarify directly with their HR team, as sponsorship decisions can vary by role and hiring need.
What visa types does Step One Automotive Group sponsor?
Step One Automotive Group sponsors employment-based Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories. EB-2 is generally for professionals with advanced degrees or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers skilled workers and professionals with a bachelor's degree. Both pathways require the employer to complete a PERM labor certification before filing with USCIS.
Which roles or departments at Step One Automotive Group are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at automotive dealership groups like Step One tends to concentrate in roles where specialized skills or consistent hiring demand make local recruitment difficult. This often includes positions in service operations, finance and insurance, technology, and management. Candidates with technical certifications or advanced business qualifications are generally better positioned to secure sponsorship consideration.
How do I find open jobs at Step One Automotive Group that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to browse verified sponsoring employers in the automotive sector. You can filter by company, visa type, and sponsorship history to confirm which roles at Step One are actively hiring and have a documented track record of Green Card sponsorship before you invest time in an application.
How do I approach the application process at Step One Automotive Group as a visa-sponsored candidate?
Be upfront about your visa situation early in the process. Confirm in your initial conversations whether the specific role you are applying for is eligible for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship. Come prepared to explain your immigration timeline and be ready for a longer hiring cycle, since Green Card sponsorship requires PERM labor certification before USCIS can approve the petition.
