Target roles at the intersection of tech and operations
Stord blends software with physical logistics, so engineering, product, and supply chain consulting roles are your strongest entry points for sponsorship. Focus your application on positions where technical expertise and domain knowledge intersect.
Understand the consulting context before you apply
Stord sits in Consulting & Professional Services, which means project-based work and client delivery matter. Highlight cross-functional experience and client-facing skills in your resume, these signal readiness for the consulting environment Stord operates in.
Prepare for both H-1B and Green Card conversations
Stord sponsors both H-1B and permanent resident pathways. Ask your recruiter early which route applies to your role, some positions may have a clearer long-term sponsorship trajectory than others, which affects your planning significantly.
Research open roles using verified sponsorship data
Not every role at a company that sponsors will have active sponsorship available. Browse Stord's open positions on Migrate Mate, which surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and avoid applying blind.
Align your specialty occupation case with your specific role
For H-1B eligibility at a consulting firm like Stord, your role must qualify as a specialty occupation. Make sure your offer letter clearly defines degree requirements, vague job descriptions are a common sticking point at consulting-sector employers.
Time your outreach around the H-1B cap cycle
If you're targeting an H-1B at Stord and aren't already cap-exempt, the April filing window is critical. Begin conversations with Stord recruiters by January or February to allow enough lead time for petition preparation before the registration deadline.
