About Suno
We're building the world's first platform for creating and discovering original music, including Suno Studio, a generative audio workstation, and Hooks, a new way to create and share videos that bring songs to life.
Powered by the world's most advanced music-creation model and designed to amplify imagination, our platform makes it possible for anyone to turn inspiration into music, where ideas flow into sound, songs become yours, and everyone can experience the joy of creating.
Suno is one of the fastest-growing AI startups in the world, backed by leading investors including Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Matrix, NVentures, and Hallwood Media.
About the Role
We’re looking for a leader to build our legal operations and strategy function from the ground up. You’ll own the systems and processes that let a small, high-impact legal team scale with one of the fastest-growing companies in AI: contract management, outside counsel coordination, legal tech stack, the workflows that connect legal to every corner of Suno, and cross-functional strategy.
This is a high-autonomy role that rewards initiative and creative problem-solving. You’ll report to Suno’s General Counsel and work alongside a tight-knit legal team covering legal & business affairs, commercial, litigation, product & privacy, and corporate matters. The measure of success is simple: our most important business initiatives stay unblocked, well-supported, and ahead of the curve.
What You’ll Do
- Select, implement, and manage Suno’s legal technology stack—contract lifecycle management (CLM), matter management, e-billing, and AI-powered legal tools that match the way we build.
- Own the end-to-end contract lifecycle from intake and triage through execution and renewal, building scalable processes, templates, and self-service tools that empower the business to move quickly.
- Manage relationships with outside counsel and legal service providers, including budget tracking, performance evaluation, and strategic allocation of work.
- Build and maintain KPI dashboards to track legal team performance, spend, and turnaround times—giving leadership clear visibility into how legal operates.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, People Ops, and business teams to ensure legal processes and strategy align with how Suno actually works, not how legal departments traditionally work.
- Develop and refine legal department infrastructure: playbooks, knowledge management, onboarding materials, and the operational backbone that lets a lean team punch above its weight.
What We’re Looking For
Must-haves:
- 8+ years of experience in operations, with at least some time spent in legal operations specifically.
- Proven track record of building or scaling legal operations functions from early stages — you’ve done the zero-to-one work before.
- Expertise in legal technology, including CLM platforms (e.g., Ironclad, DocuSign CLM, Agiloft), e-billing systems, and matter management tools.
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset—you build dashboards, not just spreadsheets.
- Excellent project management instincts, with the ability to run multiple initiatives simultaneously without dropping threads.
Nice-to-haves (we encourage you to apply even if you don’t check every box):
- Experience at a high-growth technology or AI company navigating ambiguity and rapid change.
- Familiarity with AI-powered legal tools and emerging legal tech—bonus points if you’ve built workflows around them.
- Background in contract management, paralegal work, or legal practice.
- CLOC certification or equivalent legal operations training.
- Experience managing outside counsel in complex IP, regulatory, or litigation-heavy environments.
Perks & Benefits for Full-Time Employees
- Company Equity Package
- 401(k) with 3% Employer Match & Roth 401(k)
- Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance (PPO w/ HSA & FSA options)
- 11 Paid Holidays + Unlimited PTO & Sick Time
- 16 Weeks of Paid Parental Leave
- Creative Education Stipend
- Generous Commuter Allowance
- In-Office Lunch
Why This Role is Special
Most legal ops roles ask you to optimize existing systems. This one asks you to build them. You'll join a legal team at the ground floor and have the rare opportunity to implement processes that will scale with us as we grow. Your fingerprints will be on everything we build.
Additional Notes:
- Applicants must be eligible to work in the US
- This role requires working on site in our Los Angeles or San Francisco office
Suno is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. We consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, marital or family status, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other legally protected basis under provincial, federal, state, and local laws, regulations, or ordinances. We will also consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of state and local laws, including the Massachusetts Fair Chance in Employment Act, NYC Fair Chance Act, LA City Fair Chance Ordinance, and San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
Compensation Range: $150K - $180K

Job Roles at Suno Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Suno Visa Sponsorship USA
Target roles at the intersection of AI and audio engineering
Suno's core product lives in generative AI and music synthesis. Candidates with backgrounds in machine learning, audio signal processing, or deep learning research align most closely with the technical roles Suno is most likely to sponsor.
Position yourself as a rare technical specialist
At a focused AI startup like Suno, sponsorship decisions are closely tied to how irreplaceable a candidate appears. Emphasize specialized expertise in generative models, audio ML, or related niche skills that are genuinely difficult to source domestically.
Research Suno's open roles before reaching out
Suno's hiring footprint is selective, so knowing exactly which teams are actively recruiting strengthens your outreach. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and find Suno openings that match your visa type.
Understand that TN visa eligibility can be an asset
Suno has sponsored TN visas, which means Canadian and Mexican professionals with qualifying credentials may have a faster path to employment. Highlighting TN eligibility upfront removes sponsorship complexity and can make your candidacy more attractive to a small team.
Prepare for a thorough technical process at a startup
As an early-stage AI company, Suno's hiring bar is high and its process moves deliberately. Come prepared with a deep portfolio of relevant work, and be ready to discuss how your skills contribute directly to building or improving AI-generated music systems.

Does Suno sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Suno sponsors H-1B visas. While it's not among the highest-volume sponsors in the technology sector, it has a documented track record of supporting international candidates through the H-1B process. Sponsorship is most common for specialized technical roles, particularly those tied to AI research and software engineering, where relevant expertise is difficult to find domestically.
What visa types does Suno sponsor?
Suno sponsors H-1B visas, supports F-1 OPT employment, and has sponsored TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican professionals. This range indicates a genuine openness to international hiring across multiple immigration pathways, which is useful if you're early in your career on OPT or seeking a faster route through TN status before pursuing H-1B sponsorship.
Which roles or departments at Suno are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Based on Suno's focus as a generative AI music company, sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical roles such as machine learning engineering, audio AI research, and backend software development. Candidates in these disciplines who bring specialized skills in deep learning or audio synthesis are best positioned to secure an offer that includes visa sponsorship.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Suno?
The most reliable approach is to use Migrate Mate, which aggregates verified sponsorship data so you can browse Suno's current openings filtered by visa type and sponsorship history. Because Suno is a smaller company with selective hiring, checking regularly for new listings and setting up job alerts ensures you don't miss openings as they're posted.
How do I approach the application timeline when targeting Suno for H-1B sponsorship?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, timing matters significantly. The H-1B lottery registration opens each March for an October 1 start date, so you'll want an offer in hand by February at the latest. Engage with Suno's recruiting team as early as possible, be upfront about your visa situation, and confirm the company is prepared to file a petition within your required timeline.
