Target operations and logistics roles
Swissport's sponsorship activity is concentrated in operational and logistics functions tied to its core airport services business. Focus your applications on roles in ground handling, cargo operations, and aviation logistics where sponsorship is most likely to apply.
Understand that Swissport sponsors Green Cards, not H-1Bs
Swissport's sponsorship history is in Green Card pathways rather than H-1B visas. If you're already in the U.S. on a work-authorized status and looking for long-term immigration support, Swissport's sponsorship profile aligns better with that situation than short-term visa transfers.
Position yourself for permanent roles, not contract work
Green Card sponsorship signals that Swissport is investing in long-term hires. Emphasize stability, career commitment, and deep expertise in transportation and logistics when applying, contractors and short-term candidates are rarely considered for employer-sponsored permanent residency.
Research Swissport's U.S. airport locations before applying
Swissport operates at dozens of U.S. airports, and sponsorship activity tends to follow where the company has the largest and most established operations. Targeting major hub locations can improve your chances of landing a role with immigration support attached.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified sponsorship openings
Identifying which Swissport roles come with genuine Green Card support isn't always clear from a job listing alone. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus your energy on applications that actually lead somewhere.
Highlight specialized aviation or cargo credentials
Swissport operates in a highly regulated industry where technical credentials matter. Certifications in dangerous goods handling, ramp operations, or cargo compliance make you a stronger candidate for the specialized roles most likely to come with Green Card sponsorship consideration.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Swissport sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship data, Swissport does not have a track record of sponsoring H-1B visas. Its immigration support has been focused on Green Card pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 categories. If you're currently on an H-1B and seeking a transfer, Swissport is unlikely to be a fit, but if you're pursuing permanent residency, it's worth exploring.
What visa types does Swissport sponsor?
Swissport's sponsorship activity covers Green Card categories, specifically EB-2 and EB-3. These employment-based immigrant visa pathways are typically used for skilled workers and professionals in long-term roles. This makes Swissport a relevant target for candidates who are already work-authorized in the U.S. and looking for an employer willing to support permanent residency.
Which departments or roles at Swissport are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Swissport's core business is airport ground handling and cargo services, so sponsorship tends to align with operational, logistics, and management roles within those functions. Positions requiring specialized skills or significant experience in aviation logistics, cargo compliance, or ground services management are the most plausible candidates for Green Card sponsorship support.
How do I find open roles at Swissport that include Green Card sponsorship?
Job listings rarely specify Green Card sponsorship directly, which makes it difficult to identify qualifying roles from a standard job search. Migrate Mate tracks employer sponsorship history and surfaces roles from verified sponsors like Swissport, so you can filter specifically for companies with a real track record of supporting Green Card applications rather than guessing from a listing.
How do I improve my chances of getting sponsored by Swissport?
Swissport sponsors a selective number of Green Cards, so demonstrating long-term value is essential. Come in with deep expertise in transportation or aviation logistics, highlight any industry-specific certifications, and make clear you're seeking a permanent role. Since Swissport uses EB-2 and EB-3 categories, framing yourself as a skilled long-term hire, not a short-term placement, is the right positioning.
