Frame your credentials around financial services consulting
TD Securities recruits Management Consultants for capital markets, risk, and regulatory projects. Tailor your resume to reflect experience with financial institutions rather than general strategy work. USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation claims, so the degree-to-role connection needs to be explicit.
Target roles in TD Securities' transformation and strategy teams
TD Securities regularly posts Management Consultant roles tied to business transformation and post-merger integration. These projects tend to have longer timelines, which makes them more attractive to hiring managers willing to initiate a sponsorship process.
Time your application around H-1B cap registration windows
If you need an H-1B, USCIS opens cap registration in March. Starting your application process at TD Securities in January gives the recruiting team time to complete offers and initiate the employer registration before the window closes.
Clarify E-3 eligibility early if you hold Australian citizenship
As an Australian citizen, you can bypass the H-1B lottery entirely using the E-3 visa. Raise your eligibility with TD Securities' HR team before offer stage. E-3 petitions don't require advance USCIS registration and can be processed at a U.S. consulate in as little as a few weeks.
Understand what TD Securities files before your start date
Your employer files the Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS can process your H-1B petition. Confirm internally that TD Securities uses outside immigration counsel, since complex capital markets consulting roles occasionally require additional DOL prevailing wage documentation.
Browse open Management Consultant roles through Migrate Mate
Finding sponsored Management Consultant openings at investment banks requires filtering beyond standard job boards. Use Migrate Mate to surface TD Securities listings that are actively open to H-1B and E-3 sponsorship, saving time you'd otherwise spend vetting postings manually.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does TD Securities sponsor H-1B visas for Management Consultants?
Yes, TD Securities sponsors H-1B visas for Management Consultant roles. The process requires the firm to file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL and submit a petition to USCIS on your behalf. Cap-subject candidates need to go through the annual H-1B lottery, so timing your offer to align with the March registration period is important.
Which visa types does TD Securities commonly use for Management Consultant hires?
TD Securities sponsors H-1B visas for most international Management Consultant hires, covering candidates in specialty occupation roles tied to finance, strategy, and operations. Australian citizens can apply under the E-3 visa, which avoids the H-1B lottery entirely. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, TD Securities also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways over time.
What qualifications does TD Securities expect for Management Consultant roles?
TD Securities typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's or master's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related quantitative field, plus prior consulting or financial services experience. For sponsored roles, your degree must directly support the specialty occupation standard USCIS applies, so generalist business degrees without a clear capital markets focus can create complications during petition review.
How do I apply for Management Consultant jobs at TD Securities?
Applications go through TD Securities' careers portal, but many sponsored openings also appear on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for visa-sponsoring employers. When applying, highlight your financial services consulting experience and include any prior U.S. work authorization history. Reaching out to the firm's campus or experienced hire recruiters directly before applying can also help your application get routed correctly.
How do I manage the timeline between a TD Securities offer and my visa start date?
H-1B employment can begin on October 1 if your petition is selected in the March lottery and approved by USCIS. If you're on OPT, your current work authorization may bridge that gap. E-3 visa applicants move faster, often receiving a visa decision within weeks of a consular appointment. Confirm your current status end date with TD Securities' immigration counsel immediately after receiving an offer.
