About the role
As an IT Project Manager, you’ll lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects that move the business forward — from software implementations and infrastructure upgrades to system integrations and digital transformation initiatives. You’ll guide cross-functional teams, manage timelines and budgets, mitigate risk, and deliver high-quality IT solutions aligned with business needs. It’s a role for someone who pairs technical acumen with disciplined project management (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) and thrives on clear stakeholder communication in a fast-paced environment.
What you’ll do
- Project planning & execution — Lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects, including software implementations, infrastructure upgrades, system integrations, and digital transformation initiatives. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and budgets; define scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders; and ensure adherence to project-management methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid).
- Stakeholder management — Serve as the primary point of contact for business leaders, IT teams, and external vendors. Communicate project status, risks, and key milestones to executive stakeholders, and facilitate alignment between technical teams and business objectives.
- Team leadership — Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, engineers, business analysts, and third-party vendors. Drive accountability and performance through clear roles, responsibilities, and deliverables, and foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented team environment.
- Risk & issue management — Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively. Manage issues, dependencies, and escalations to minimize impact on timelines and deliverables, and develop contingency plans to ensure project continuity.
- Financial & resource management — Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls. Optimize resource utilization across multiple concurrent projects, and track actuals versus plan, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Governance & reporting — Establish and maintain project governance frameworks. Monitor project KPIs (schedule adherence, budget performance, quality metrics) and prepare and deliver regular status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
What you’ll bring
Must-haves
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 5–10+ years of project-management experience focused on IT or technology initiatives, with a track record of delivering complex, cross-functional projects on time and on budget.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and infrastructure environments.
- Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience with project-management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and executive-presentation skills, with the ability to lead and influence without direct authority.
Nice-to-haves
- PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM) / PMI-ACP, or ITIL certification.
- Experience with enterprise system implementations (ERP, CRM, cloud platforms).
- Exposure to cybersecurity, data analytics, or digital transformation programs.
- Experience working in global or multi-site environments.
What we offer
- Compensation — Competitive base salary plus annual performance bonus.
- Health & wellness — Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- Retirement — 401(k) with company match.
- Time off — Paid time off, holidays, and parental leave.
About us:
For over 35 years, TERREPOWER (formerly BBB Industries) has been a leader in sustainable manufacturing, driving the circular economy by extending the life of essential products in the automotive and industrial markets.
Founded in 1987 in Daphne, Alabama by the Bigler family, TERREPOWER began as a small regional remanufacturer of starters and alternators. Our commitment to quality and innovation quickly earned us a reputation as a trusted name in the automotive industry.
Recognizing new challenges and opportunities, in 2019 we set our sights on EV battery upcycling—addressing one of the industry’s most pressing issues. Our engineering team pioneered solutions to extend EV battery life, pushing the boundaries of sustainable innovation.
Recognizing that demand for solar panels would exceed availability and 100,000 tons of waste would potentially go into landfills by 2035, our team searched for an innovative way to upcycle solar panels. With an eye on the future, we developed ways to upcycle solar panels.
Rooted in family and community values, we’re proud to have second-generation employees contributing to our legacy. Backed by Clearlake Capital, we’ve expanded our footprint into Europe with facilities in Spain, Italy, Denmark, Germany and Poland. We now sustainably manufacture and supply an assortment of nondiscretionary repair parts across more than 90 countries.
As we move forward under the TERREPOWER name, we remain committed to the same values that have always defined us: entrepreneurship, teamwork, customer-centered, sustainability, safety.
Why Join Us?

Focus on technical and engineering roles
TERREPOWER's sponsorship activity in the automotive sector is concentrated in technical functions. Prioritize applying for roles in engineering, product development, or systems integration where visa sponsorship is most commonly offered and justified by specialized expertise.
Highlight OPT and CPT eligibility early
TERREPOWER sponsors both F-1 OPT and CPT, making it accessible to students before the H-1B stage. If you're currently on F-1 status, lead with your OPT or CPT eligibility in your application to lower the hiring barrier and get your foot in the door.
Understand the TN pathway if you're Canadian or Mexican
TERREPOWER's TN sponsorship is a significant advantage for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying automotive or engineering roles. TN visas are faster and simpler than H-1B, so emphasize your nationality and role fit when applying.
Treat OPT as your H-1B on-ramp
TERREPOWER sponsors both OPT and H-1B, which suggests a willingness to carry candidates through transitions. Starting on OPT and building internal credibility significantly improves your chances of being sponsored for an H-1B when the time comes.
Research TERREPOWER's open roles on Migrate Mate
Finding sponsors in automotive is harder than in tech, so targeted searching matters. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and find TERREPOWER roles that are actively open to international candidates.
Address sponsorship directly in your cover letter
TERREPOWER operates in a specialized industry where hiring decisions move carefully. Be upfront about your visa status and the specific visa type you need, whether H-1B, OPT, or TN, so recruiters can assess your candidacy without ambiguity from the start.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does TERREPOWER sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, TERREPOWER sponsors H-1B visas. The company operates in the automotive industry and has sponsored H-1B petitions for specialized roles that require technical expertise. If you're targeting an H-1B through TERREPOWER, focus on positions in engineering or technical disciplines where specialty occupation requirements are most clearly met.
Which visa types does TERREPOWER sponsor?
TERREPOWER sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. This range makes them accessible to international candidates at multiple career stages, from students on curricular practical training to experienced professionals seeking H-1B sponsorship. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying automotive roles may also pursue the TN pathway.
What types of roles at TERREPOWER are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Given TERREPOWER's presence in the automotive sector, sponsorship is most commonly associated with technical and engineering functions. Roles in areas like systems engineering, powertrain development, or automotive software typically carry the strongest case for specialty occupation status, which underpins H-1B eligibility. General business or administrative roles are less likely to be sponsored.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at TERREPOWER?
The most reliable approach is to use Migrate Mate, which tracks verified sponsorship history and surfaces job listings from employers like TERREPOWER that have an active track record of sponsoring international candidates. Filtering by company name or industry on Migrate Mate lets you identify current openings alongside real sponsorship data, so you're not applying blind.
How do I approach the application process at TERREPOWER as an international candidate?
Be transparent about your visa status from the first point of contact. TERREPOWER's sponsorship of multiple visa types suggests they have experience navigating the process, but recruiters still need to confirm fit early. Clearly state the visa type you need, your earliest available start date, and any OPT or CPT runway you have. Following up after applying is reasonable in a smaller automotive company where hiring moves at a measured pace.
