Align your credentials to state licensing requirements
Most Insurance Account Manager roles at USI require a state Property and Casualty or Life and Health producer license. Getting licensed before you apply signals readiness and removes a common hiring hesitation around sponsored candidates who need ramp-up time.
Target USI branch offices in sponsorship-friendly states
USI operates dozens of regional offices. Focus applications on states with established commercial insurance markets like California, Texas, and New York, where USI branches handle higher client volumes and are more accustomed to sponsoring account management staff.
Frame your book-of-business experience in client retention terms
USI Account Managers are evaluated on client retention and renewal rates. Quantify your experience managing renewals, handling endorsements, or coordinating with carriers so hiring managers see immediate production value rather than a sponsorship cost.
Confirm your visa category fits USI's filing timeline
E-3 and TN visas process significantly faster than H-1B, which requires lottery selection each April. If you hold Australian citizenship or are Canadian or Mexican, confirm your status type with USI's HR team early so the offer letter reflects the correct visa category and avoids delays.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Account Manager roles at USI by visa type
USI posts Insurance Account Manager openings frequently across multiple locations. Migrate Mate lets you filter those listings by the visa types USI has sponsored, so you're only applying to roles where your immigration status is already a known fit.
Request written confirmation of LCA filing before your start date
For E-3 and H-1B positions, USI must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before you can begin work. Confirm with HR that the LCA is certified and that the job title and worksite on the LCA exactly match your offer letter to avoid I-94 complications later.

Find Insurance Account Manager at USI Insurance Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does USI Insurance Services sponsor H-1B visas for Insurance Account Managers?
USI Insurance Services has sponsored work visas for Insurance Account Manager roles, but H-1B sponsorship is not guaranteed for every opening. Because H-1B requires lottery selection in April and a long lead time, candidates holding E-3, TN, or F-1 OPT status are often a more practical fit for this role. Confirm sponsorship willingness directly with the recruiting team when you receive an interview invitation.
Which visa types are commonly used for Insurance Account Manager roles at USI Insurance Services?
The visa types most commonly used for Insurance Account Manager positions at USI include E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates, and J-1 for eligible exchange visitors. These categories tend to have faster processing timelines than H-1B, which matters for roles where a defined start date aligns with a client renewal cycle.
What qualifications and experience does USI Insurance Services expect for Insurance Account Manager roles?
USI typically expects candidates to hold a state insurance producer license in Property and Casualty or Life and Health lines, or to be on track to obtain one quickly. A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field strengthens your application. Practical experience managing commercial or employee benefits accounts, handling renewals, and coordinating with carriers is weighted heavily in the hiring process.
How do I apply for Insurance Account Manager jobs at USI Insurance Services?
You can search and apply for Insurance Account Manager openings at USI Insurance Services through Migrate Mate, which filters USI's listed roles by visa sponsorship type so you apply only to positions where your status is a known fit. When you apply, tailor your resume to highlight client retention, renewal management, and any active insurance producer licenses, as these are the qualifications USI's hiring managers screen for first.
How do I plan the timeline between a job offer at USI and my actual start date?
Your timeline depends on your visa category. E-3 and TN processing at a U.S. consulate abroad can take two to four weeks once USI provides a certified LCA and offer letter. F-1 OPT requires USCIS to approve your EAD before you start, which can take up to 90 days, so apply as early as your program allows. Confirm the expected filing and certification timeline with USI's HR team immediately after receiving an offer.
