Frame your credentials around U.S. insurance terminology
Before applying, translate your experience into language that maps to U.S. property, casualty, and benefits coverage. USI clients expect support staff who understand policy types, claims workflows, and coverage limits, so your resume should reflect that fluency.
Target USI branches with high client volume
USI operates regional offices across dozens of states, and Customer Support hiring concentrates around commercial lines hubs. Prioritizing locations like Dallas, Chicago, or Atlanta, where broker activity is densest, puts your application in front of teams actively scaling headcount.
Align your OPT start date with USI hiring cycles
USI recruits Customer Support staff on a rolling basis, but onboarding timelines matter for F-1 OPT candidates. USCIS recommends applying for OPT up to 90 days before your program end date, so submit early enough that your EAD arrives before your intended start.
Search USI Customer Support openings through Migrate Mate
Filtering by visa type and industry on Migrate Mate surfaces active USI Customer Support roles verified for sponsorship eligibility, saving you from applying to listings where sponsorship is ambiguous or unavailable.
Request a written sponsorship confirmation before accepting an offer
Once USI extends an offer, ask HR to confirm in writing which visa category they intend to sponsor and whether they use an in-house immigration team or outside counsel. This prevents delays after you have already resigned from another role.

Find Customer Support at USI Insurance Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does USI Insurance Services sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Supports?
USI Insurance Services does not have a documented pattern of sponsoring H-1B visas specifically for Customer Support roles. Their sponsorship activity for this function tends to center on E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1 pathways. If H-1B sponsorship is your primary need, raise it directly with the USI recruiter during initial screening to confirm whether the specific role and office can support that petition.
How do I apply for Customer Support jobs at USI Insurance Services?
Applications go through USI's careers portal, where Customer Support roles are listed by location and business line. You can also browse verified USI openings on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship eligibility. When you apply, tailor your resume to reflect familiarity with insurance products, client communication workflows, and any relevant industry certifications such as Property and Casualty licensure.
Which visa types are commonly used for Customer Support roles at USI Insurance Services?
USI has a track record of sponsoring Customer Support hires on E-3 visas for Australian citizens, TN status for Canadian and Mexican nationals under the USMCA, and F-1 OPT or CPT for recent graduates still within their authorized training period. J-1 exchange visitor sponsorship has also been used for this function. The right pathway depends on your citizenship, degree status, and how much time you have remaining on any current authorization.
What qualifications does USI Insurance Services expect for Customer Support candidates seeking sponsorship?
USI typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, communications, finance, or a related field, combined with experience in client-facing or account management roles. Familiarity with commercial lines, employee benefits, or claims processing carries significant weight. For visa eligibility, your degree field should plausibly connect to the Customer Support function, particularly if you're pursuing an E-3 or TN, both of which require a qualifying specialty occupation.
How do I plan a realistic timeline for starting a Customer Support role at USI Insurance Services on a sponsored visa?
Timeline depends heavily on your visa category. E-3 and TN processing at a U.S. consulate can take two to six weeks once your employer completes the Labor Condition Application through DOL. F-1 OPT requires a USCIS processing window of up to 90 days, so start early. Build in time for USI's internal HR and legal review before any government filings begin, and confirm whether your role requires I-9 and E-Verify completion on day one.
