Frame your insurance credentials for U.S. standards
If you hold professional designations like CIP, ACII, or a non-U.S. insurance license, get a credential evaluation that maps them to U.S. equivalents. USI hiring managers assess candidates against domestic benchmarks, and an unevaluated foreign credential can stall your application before interviews begin.
Target branch locations with active hiring patterns
USI operates regional branches nationwide, and Business Manager openings are concentrated in specific markets. Search by metro area rather than nationwide to find locations actively posting this role, which signals budget approval and a faster path to offer and sponsorship.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Business Manager roles by sponsorship type
Not every USI posting signals which visa categories the hiring team will support. Migrate Mate filters specifically for sponsored roles at USI Insurance Services, so you're applying to openings where sponsorship is already on the table rather than negotiating it cold.
Clarify LCA wage compliance before salary negotiation
For E-3 and TN hires, USI's HR team files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying the offered wage meets the prevailing rate for the Business Manager role in that location. Knowing the DOL wage level for your target metro helps you enter salary conversations with realistic expectations.
Build your timeline around consular processing if you're offshore
E-3 and TN visas for Business Manager roles are typically processed at a U.S. consulate rather than through USCIS change-of-status, which means your start date depends on appointment availability. Account for four to eight weeks between offer acceptance and your first day when negotiating your start date.

Find Business Manager at USI Insurance Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does USI Insurance Services sponsor H-1B visas for Business Managers?
USI Insurance Services' sponsorship activity for Business Manager roles has focused on visa categories including E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT rather than H-1B. The H-1B requires USCIS lottery selection each April for most applicants, which adds significant uncertainty. If you hold E-3 or TN eligibility, those pathways are more straightforward to pursue with USI for this role.
Which visa types are commonly used for Business Manager roles at USI Insurance Services?
USI has sponsored Business Manager positions under E-3 (for Australian citizens), TN (for Canadian and Mexican nationals under USMCA), F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1. E-3 and TN are particularly efficient for this role because they don't require USCIS approval before you can start, just a certified Labor Condition Application from the DOL and consular processing.
What qualifications and experience does USI Insurance Services expect for Business Manager roles?
USI Business Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, combined with experience in insurance operations, client account management, or financial services. Familiarity with commercial lines, employee benefits, or risk management products is valued. Candidates with prior experience inside a brokerage or carrier environment tend to be more competitive for these positions.
How do I apply for Business Manager jobs at USI Insurance Services?
You can find Business Manager openings at USI Insurance Services through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where visa sponsorship is confirmed. When applying, clearly state your visa category and authorization timeline in your cover material. USI recruits at the branch level, so tailoring your application to the specific regional office and its service lines improves your chances of moving to an interview.
How do I plan my timeline for a Business Manager visa sponsorship at USI Insurance Services?
For E-3 and TN applicants, plan for the employer to file an LCA with the DOL, which takes roughly seven business days, before you can schedule your consular appointment. Consulate wait times vary by location and season, generally ranging from two to six weeks. Build at least six to eight weeks between a signed offer and your target start date to avoid renegotiating timelines after acceptance.
