Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Business Development Jobs at USI Insurance Services Jobs
Align Your Credentials to Insurance Producer Standards
USI Business Development roles often require or expect a state insurance producer license. Before applying, research the licensing requirements in your target state so you can speak to your path to licensure during interviews, not after an offer arrives.
Target USI's Regional Growth Markets First
USI expands through acquisitions and regional office growth. Focusing your search on markets where USI has recently added offices increases your odds of finding roles with active hiring mandates and sponsors willing to move quickly on visa filings.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Verified Sponsorship Roles
Search for Business Development openings at USI Insurance Services directly on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles tied to confirmed sponsorship activity so you're not guessing which postings are actually open to visa-sponsored candidates.
Clarify Your OPT or TN Timeline Before the Offer Stage
F-1 OPT gives you up to 12 months of work authorization, extendable to 36 months with a STEM extension if your degree qualifies. Raise your authorization timeline proactively with the hiring manager so legal and HR aren't surprised after an offer is extended.
Frame Your Book of Business Potential in Client Terms
USI Business Development hiring centers on revenue generation and client relationship capacity. Quantify your existing professional network or past sales pipeline in insurance or adjacent industries to give the recruiting team a concrete case for sponsoring your role.
Confirm USI's LCA Filing Process with Their HR Team
For E-3 and H-1B sponsorship, USI must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before petitioning USCIS. Ask HR early whether they work with outside immigration counsel, since that affects how long the pre-petition stage takes and when you can realistically start.

Find Business Development at USI Insurance Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does USI Insurance Services sponsor H-1B visas for Business Developments?
USI Insurance Services has not been a consistent H-1B sponsor for Business Development roles. The company's sponsorship activity for this function has centered on other visa categories, including E-3 and F-1 OPT. If H-1B sponsorship is a requirement for you, raise it directly with USI's recruiting team early in the process to confirm their current position before investing significant time.
How do I apply for Business Development jobs at USI Insurance Services?
Applications for Business Development roles at USI Insurance Services go through USI's careers portal on their website. You can also find and filter verified openings by visa type on Migrate Mate, which helps you identify which postings are realistically open to sponsored candidates. Tailoring your resume to highlight insurance industry experience, revenue generation, and client relationship management improves your chances of clearing the initial screen.
Which visa types does USI Insurance Services commonly sponsor for Business Development roles?
USI's sponsorship for Business Development positions has included E-3 visas for Australian citizens, F-1 OPT and CPT for students completing U.S. degrees, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories, and J-1 for certain training or exchange programs. Of these, E-3 and TN tend to move fastest since they don't involve USCIS petition processing in the same way H-1B does.
What qualifications does USI Insurance Services expect for Business Development candidates?
USI typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, combined with demonstrated experience in sales, account management, or client development, ideally within financial services or insurance. State insurance producer licensing is frequently expected or required before you start. Candidates who can show an existing professional network or a track record of building client relationships from the ground up tend to stand out in USI's hiring process.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take if USI extends a Business Development offer?
Timeline depends heavily on the visa type. E-3 and TN sponsorships can move in two to six weeks once the employer has completed the Labor Condition Application with the DOL and the candidate schedules a consular appointment. F-1 OPT authorization is tied to your program end date and requires a separate USCIS application, so you need to apply at least 90 days before your intended start date to avoid a gap in work authorization.
