Tailor your resume to insurance operations
USI's Sales Support roles prioritize experience with CRM platforms, policy documentation, and producer support workflows. Highlight any insurance-specific tools like Applied Epic or Salesforce, and frame your background around client lifecycle management rather than general administrative support.
Verify your work authorization status early
USI operates across dozens of regional offices, so hiring decisions often happen locally. Confirm your current visa status, authorized end date, and any OPT or CPT restrictions before applying, so you can answer authorization questions accurately on intake forms.
Target branch offices in sponsorship-active states
USI's Sales Support hiring is distributed across regional markets. Focus your applications on branches in states with higher insurance industry activity, like Texas, California, and Illinois, where local managers have more experience coordinating sponsorship paperwork with corporate HR.
Clarify the filing timeline before accepting an offer
For E-3 or TN candidates, sponsorship can move quickly, but you need a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL before your visa appointment. Ask the HR team during the offer stage which visa category they intend to sponsor and whether they use in-house counsel or an external firm.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by sponsorship type
USI posts Sales Support Specialist openings frequently, but not all listings signal sponsorship willingness. Filter by your visa category on Migrate Mate to surface the specific roles where USI has a documented sponsorship track record for this function.
Prepare credentials that satisfy specialty occupation standards
For E-3 or H-1B filings, USCIS reviews whether the Sales Support role qualifies as a specialty occupation. Gather transcripts showing a business, finance, or risk management degree, and be ready to explain how the position requires that specific field of study.

Does USI Insurance Services sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Support Specialists?
USI Insurance Services has sponsored work visas for Sales Support Specialists, but H-1B sponsorship depends on the specific role, office location, and whether the position meets USCIS specialty occupation requirements. Because Sales Support functions can vary in scope across USI's regional offices, sponsorship eligibility is best confirmed directly with the hiring team during the offer stage.
Which visa types are commonly used for Sales Support Specialist roles at USI Insurance Services?
USI has sponsored candidates under the E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1 categories for this type of role. E-3 and TN are often the most efficient paths for eligible nationals because they don't involve the H-1B lottery and can be processed on shorter timelines. F-1 OPT holders in their authorized period can typically start without waiting for a new visa filing.
What qualifications or experience does USI Insurance Services expect for Sales Support Specialist positions?
USI typically looks for candidates with a background in insurance, business administration, or a related field. Familiarity with commercial lines, policy processing workflows, and producer support is valued. Experience with CRM or agency management platforms like Applied Epic strengthens your application. A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or risk management is commonly expected, especially for visa-sponsored positions requiring specialty occupation classification.
How do I apply for Sales Support Specialist jobs at USI Insurance Services?
You can browse current Sales Support Specialist openings at USI Insurance Services through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles with a documented sponsorship track record and lets you filter by your visa category. Apply directly through USI's careers portal, and in your cover materials, be specific about your work authorization status and availability. Regional HR teams handle initial screening, so tailor your application to the office location you're targeting.
How do I manage the sponsorship timeline if I'm on F-1 OPT and targeting USI Insurance Services?
If you're on F-1 OPT, map your authorized end date against USI's typical hiring cycle before you apply. If your OPT runs out before an H-1B or E-3 could be filed and approved, raise this timeline with HR early. For STEM OPT extensions, your employer must be enrolled in E-Verify, which USI does participate in. Identifying the gap early gives both sides time to evaluate realistic options.
