Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Customer Service Jobs at UT Southwestern Medical Center Jobs
Tailor your resume to healthcare settings
UT Southwestern's Customer Service roles often support patient-facing or clinical administrative functions. Highlight experience with scheduling, medical records, or insurance verification rather than general retail or hospitality service, which recruiters here will treat as less relevant.
Verify your visa is on their sponsored list
UT Southwestern sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT. Before applying, confirm your current status or target visa type is one they actively file. Mismatched visa expectations are the most common reason sponsorship conversations stall at offer stage.
Apply before your OPT authorization window closes
If you're on F-1 OPT, the USCIS 60-day grace period after OPT expiration is not work-authorized time. Target Customer Service openings at UT Southwestern at least three months before your OPT end date to allow room for onboarding and any H-1B or TN filing timelines.
Search open roles through Migrate Mate
Filter UT Southwestern's active Customer Service listings on Migrate Mate to surface roles that align with your visa type and experience level. This cuts time spent on openings that don't match your sponsorship eligibility or are already closed.
Ask specifically about LCA filing during negotiation
For H-1B or E-3 roles, UT Southwestern must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying your offered wage meets prevailing levels for the Dallas area. Ask HR which wage level they're filing at, since Level I and Level II differ significantly and affect your negotiating position.
Get your credentials formally evaluated before interviews
UT Southwestern's HR team reviews foreign credentials carefully for roles with any clinical or administrative compliance requirements. A formal evaluation from a NACES-recognized agency translates your international degree or diploma into U.S. equivalents, removing a common bottleneck before any visa filing begins.

Find Customer Service at UT Southwestern Medical Center JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does UT Southwestern Medical Center sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Service?
Yes, UT Southwestern Medical Center sponsors H-1B visas for eligible Customer Service roles. As a large academic medical center, it has institutional HR infrastructure to manage the H-1B petition process. Sponsorship is typically extended to roles that meet USCIS specialty occupation criteria, so positions requiring a relevant bachelor's degree are better positioned for approval than general support roles.
How do I apply for Customer Service jobs at UT Southwestern Medical Center?
Submit applications directly through UT Southwestern's careers portal, where all active openings are listed. Tailor your application to highlight patient services, administrative coordination, or healthcare operations experience. You can also browse current Customer Service openings at UT Southwestern filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles matched to your immigration status.
Which visa types does UT Southwestern Medical Center sponsor for Customer Service roles?
UT Southwestern sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT visa types for qualifying roles. E-3 is available to Australian citizens, and TN to Canadian and Mexican nationals under USMCA. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates, with H-1B sponsorship sometimes following for retained employees whose roles meet specialty occupation standards.
What qualifications are expected for Customer Service roles at UT Southwestern?
Most Customer Service positions at UT Southwestern require at minimum a high school diploma or associate degree, though roles tied to clinical operations, patient billing, or insurance coordination often prefer a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field. Bilingual candidates, particularly Spanish speakers, and those with Epic or medical scheduling system experience are frequently prioritized in job postings.
How do I understand the visa filing timeline for a Customer Service role at UT Southwestern?
Timeline depends on your visa type. TN and E-3 sponsorship can be processed in weeks, while H-1B petitions are subject to USCIS's annual cap and October 1 start date, meaning you'd need to be selected in the spring lottery first. For F-1 OPT extensions or CPT authorization, your university's DSO manages the paperwork on your side, separate from UT Southwestern's HR process.
