Vesta Corporation is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and secure our next-generation infrastructure. This is a hands-on, high-impact role that requires both technical expertise and the ability to work independently on mission-critical projects. Key Responsibilities
- Linux Engineering & Hardening – Architect, tune, and secure enterprise-grade Linux systems.
- Automation at Scale – Drive Infrastructure-as-Code adoption with Ansible, Terraform, and scripting (Python/Bash/Go).
- Virtualization & Orchestration – Manage high-availability Proxmox clusters, VM lifecycle, storage integrations, and DR strategies.
- Kubernetes Leadership – Design and operate k8s/k3s clusters, enabling CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Enterprise Storage & Backup – Oversee TrueNAS/ZFS platforms, snapshots, and Proxmox Backup Server.
- Monitoring & Observability – Implement Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and ensure proactive incident response.
- Hybrid Cloud Architecture – Build secure, resilient environments across AWS and Azure with IAM, overlays, and connectivity to on-prem.
- Security & Compliance – Apply PCI/SOC standards, enforce access controls (LDAP/SSO), and lead hardening/vulnerability remediation.
- Data Center Engineering – Hands-on with racking, cabling, power, and hardware lifecycle.
- Patch & Lifecycle Management – Lead monthly patching cycles with minimal downtime.
- Team Enablement – Mentor engineers, serve as an escalation point, and champion technical excellence.
- Independent Project Execution – Own critical initiatives end-to-end, balancing priorities with limited oversight.
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years enterprise infrastructure experience with deep Linux expertise.
