Align your credentials to PE licensure expectations
Waggoner Engineering works on infrastructure and municipal projects where Professional Engineer licensure matters. Before applying, confirm your foreign degree is evaluated by NACES-member credential evaluators so your application clears initial screening without delays.
Target project types matching your discipline
Waggoner's engineering work spans water, transportation, and civil infrastructure. Tailoring your resume to reflect specific project experience in those verticals signals fit for the roles they staff, which directly strengthens your specialty occupation case for H-1B purposes.
Clarify sponsorship eligibility before the offer stage
Consulting firms sometimes delay sponsorship discussions until late in hiring. Ask directly during the second interview whether the role supports visa sponsorship for your specific status, so you're not caught in a 60-day grace period waiting on an unclear answer.
Understand PERM timelines for permanent residence
If you're targeting a long-term path, ask whether Waggoner initiates PERM-based Green Card sponsorship. DOL processing for PERM currently runs over a year, so starting that conversation at offer stage rather than after year two saves significant time.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Engineering roles
Waggoner Engineering posts engineering positions across multiple locations. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles at Waggoner that are open to visa sponsorship, so you're applying only where your immigration status is already a known fit.
Prepare LCA documentation before your start date
For H-1B transfers or new filings, your employer files the Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS sees the petition. Confirm the prevailing wage level for your role and location early so the LCA reflects accurate figures and avoids a request for evidence.

Find Engineering at Waggoner Engineering JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Waggoner Engineering sponsor H-1B visas for Engineers?
Yes, Waggoner Engineering has sponsored H-1B visas for engineering roles. Engineering positions at consulting firms like Waggoner generally qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria because they require at minimum a bachelor's degree in a specific technical field. Your degree must align directly with the role's discipline for the petition to hold up under USCIS review.
How do I apply for Engineering jobs at Waggoner Engineering?
You can browse and apply for Engineering roles at Waggoner Engineering through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for positions open to visa sponsorship. When applying, confirm your visa status upfront in your cover letter or application materials. Waggoner operates across multiple states, so filter by location to find openings that match your preferred work site.
Which visa types does Waggoner Engineering commonly use for Engineering roles?
Waggoner Engineering has sponsored engineers across several visa categories, including H-1B for specialty occupation workers, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering disciplines, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students completing degrees in engineering fields. For longer-term sponsorship, EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways have also been used for engineering positions at the company.
What qualifications does Waggoner Engineering expect for Engineering positions?
Most engineering roles at Waggoner require a bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, structural, or a related engineering discipline. Project experience in infrastructure, water systems, or transportation is frequently relevant given the firm's core practice areas. For H-1B sponsorship purposes, your degree must correspond directly to the specific engineering role, not just the general field.
How do visa sponsorship timelines work when accepting an Engineering offer at Waggoner Engineering?
If you're transferring an existing H-1B, portability rules allow you to start after USCIS receives the petition, not after approval, provided you've held H-1B status for at least 12 months and your prior petition was approved. For new H-1B filings, the cap registration window runs in March each year, with an October 1 start date if selected. TN status can be obtained at the border and is faster.
