OUR APPROACH TO FLEXIBLE WORK
With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. Workday is an Equal Opportunity Employer including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans. At Workday, we are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive hiring experience where all candidates can fully demonstrate their skills. If you require assistance or an accommodation at any point, please email accommodations@workday.com.
Are you being referred to one of our roles? If so, ask your connection at Workday about our Employee Referral process!
At Workday, we value our candidates’ privacy and data security. Workday will never ask candidates to apply to jobs through websites that are not Workday Careers. Please be aware of sites that may ask for you to input your data in connection with a job posting that appears to be from Workday but is not. In addition, Workday will never ask candidates to pay a recruiting fee, or pay for consulting or coaching services, in order to apply for a job at Workday.

Frame Your Credentials Around Enterprise SaaS
Workday's Business Analyst roles center on cloud ERP and HCM implementations. Tailor your resume to highlight experience with enterprise software requirements gathering, system configuration, or customer-facing deployment work rather than generic analytical projects.
Target Workday's Implementation and Product Teams
Workday posts Business Analyst roles across both its product organization and professional services division. Roles on the services side often involve direct client implementation work, which tends to have clearer sponsorship precedent and faster hiring cycles than corporate functions.
Time Your OPT Application Before the 90-Day Mark
If you're on F-1 OPT, apply to Workday roles at least three months before your OPT expires. USCIS requires your OPT to be valid at the time of hire, and Workday's offer and onboarding process can take six to ten weeks from first interview to start date.
Confirm the Sponsoring Entity Before Accepting an Offer
Workday operates multiple legal entities across the U.S. The entity named on your offer letter is the petitioner for any H-1B or PERM filing. Clarify which entity is sponsoring you early, since this affects your DOL Labor Condition Application and any future Green Card process.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Open Business Analyst Roles
Verified sponsorship roles are hard to identify on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter Business Analyst openings at Workday by visa type, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship has already been confirmed rather than guessing from job description language.
Prepare for Workday's Domain-Specific Interview Process
Workday Business Analyst interviews frequently include scenario questions tied to their Workday platform, financials, or workforce management modules. Familiarize yourself with core Workday product areas before interviews so you can speak to business requirements in context, not just in abstract analytical terms.

Find Business Analyst at Workday JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Workday sponsor H-1B visas for Business Analysts?
Yes, Workday sponsors H-1B visas for Business Analyst roles. The company has a consistent track record of filing H-1B petitions for workers in this function, particularly in its product and professional services divisions. If you're currently on OPT or another work authorization and receive an offer, Workday's HR team will typically initiate the H-1B process with their immigration counsel ahead of the October 1 cap-subject start date.
Which visa types does Workday commonly use for Business Analyst roles?
Workday sponsors Business Analysts through H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. H-1B is the most common long-term work visa for this role. TN is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying analytical occupations. OPT and CPT allow students to begin working while a longer-term petition is prepared.
What qualifications does Workday expect for Business Analyst positions?
Workday Business Analyst roles typically require a bachelor's degree in a field such as information systems, computer science, finance, or business administration. Most postings expect two to five years of experience working with enterprise software, business requirements documentation, or ERP system implementations. Familiarity with Workday's platform itself, or comparable systems like SAP or Oracle, is frequently mentioned as a strong differentiator during interviews.
How do I apply for Business Analyst jobs at Workday?
You can apply through Workday's careers portal directly, but filtering for roles that explicitly support visa sponsorship is difficult on the company site. Migrate Mate lists verified Business Analyst openings at Workday where sponsorship has been confirmed, which saves time and avoids applying to roles where international candidates aren't eligible. Once you identify a target role, apply early in the posting cycle since Workday Business Analyst roles often close quickly.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at Workday?
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT, your authorization must still be valid when you start work. Workday's hiring and onboarding process can take six to ten weeks, so targeting a start date aligned with your OPT window while leaving time for USCIS adjudication is critical. Cap-exempt pathways, such as a prior approved H-1B, can allow earlier start dates outside this annual cycle.
