Target roles that align with WSB's consulting core
WSB's sponsorships concentrate in professional and technical consulting functions. Focus your application on roles where specialized expertise is the value proposition, engineering, planning, or advisory positions, since these are most likely to justify the sponsorship process internally.
Approach WSB early in your OPT window
If you're on F-1 OPT, timing matters. WSB has sponsored both OPT and H-1B candidates, so connecting with their recruiting team before your OPT expires gives you the runway to complete an H-1B transition without putting undue pressure on the hiring timeline.
Highlight project-based consulting experience
WSB operates in a project-driven environment. Emphasize client-facing work, technical deliverables, and cross-functional collaboration in your resume, these signal that you can contribute immediately, which makes the sponsorship investment easier for hiring managers to justify.
Understand which visa types WSB actively uses
WSB sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas, a broader range than many firms. If you're on a TN or J-1, you may have a more immediate path in than you think, with H-1B sponsorship as a potential next step.
Use verified sponsorship data when filtering your job search
Not every consulting firm that claims to be 'open to sponsorship' follows through. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus on WSB and firms with a comparable track record instead of guessing.
Prepare to explain your visa timeline clearly
Consulting firms evaluate hiring decisions quickly. Before interviewing at WSB, know your current status, authorized work period, and next steps, whether that's an OPT extension, H-1B cap filing, or TN renewal. Recruiters respond well to candidates who own their own timeline.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does WSB sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, WSB sponsors H-1B visas. The H-1B is the primary long-term sponsorship pathway at WSB, making it a realistic option for international professionals in consulting and technical roles. If you're currently on F-1 OPT or another nonimmigrant status, H-1B sponsorship through WSB can serve as your route to more stable, multi-year work authorization in the U.S.
Which visa types does WSB sponsor?
WSB sponsors a range of visa types including H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visa, and J-1 visa. This breadth is notable for a firm of its size in the consulting sector, it means candidates at various stages of their immigration journey, from recent graduates on CPT to professionals seeking H-1B status, may find a viable path at WSB.
How do I find open sponsored roles at WSB?
Migrate Mate lists open positions at verified sponsoring companies, including WSB, so you can filter specifically for roles where sponsorship is a known part of the hiring profile. Search by visa type or industry to narrow results. Applying through a platform that confirms sponsorship history reduces the risk of pursuing roles where sponsorship is uncertain or unlikely to be approved.
Which departments or roles at WSB are most likely to be sponsored?
WSB's sponsorships have historically centered on professional and technical consulting functions, roles in engineering, planning, advisory services, and project management tend to be the strongest candidates. These positions typically require specialized credentials that are harder to fill domestically, which is the underlying condition that makes sponsorship a practical decision for employers in the consulting space.
How do I approach the application process at WSB as an international candidate?
Start by identifying roles that match your technical background in WSB's consulting practice areas. Be upfront about your visa status early in conversations with recruiters, WSB has experience with multiple visa types, so this shouldn't be a barrier if your skills align. If you're on F-1 OPT, flag your timeline so the team can plan around any H-1B cap filing windows that may apply to your situation.
