Frame your experience around logistics sourcing
Yusen Logistics procures freight, warehousing, and carrier contracts at scale. Highlight experience with transportation vendor negotiation, 3PL sourcing, or customs-related procurement specifically, not generic purchasing roles that could apply to any industry.
Target roles aligned with EB-2 or EB-3 eligibility
Yusen Logistics has sponsored permanent residency through both EB-2 and EB-3 pathways. A four-year degree in supply chain, business, or a related field typically supports EB-2 eligibility, while EB-3 can cover roles requiring less specialized credentials.
Prepare your credentials before the offer stage
The PERM labor certification process requires your employer to verify your qualifications meet the job requirements exactly. Have official transcripts, degree certificates, and employment verification letters ready before any offer is finalized to avoid delays.
Ask directly about the PERM timeline during negotiations
PERM filings with the DOL can take 12 to 18 months before reaching USCIS. When negotiating your offer, ask whether Yusen Logistics initiates the green card process shortly after hire or waits for a performance review period to pass.
Search open Procurement roles using Migrate Mate
Yusen Logistics posts Procurement openings across multiple locations and specializations. Use Migrate Mate to filter for roles at Yusen Logistics that align with your visa category, so you can target positions where sponsorship is most viable for your situation.
Verify your work authorization is compatible at interview
Yusen Logistics uses E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility. If you're on OPT or a visa with limited validity, clarify whether the role supports a status transfer or whether the company's sponsorship timeline can accommodate your remaining authorized work period.

Does Yusen Logistics sponsor H-1B visas for Procurements?
Yusen Logistics' documented sponsorship activity for Procurement roles has been focused on permanent residency pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3 rather than H-1B nonimmigrant visas. If H-1B sponsorship is a requirement for your situation, raise it directly with the recruiter early in the process to confirm whether it applies to the specific role you are targeting.
How do I apply for Procurement jobs at Yusen Logistics?
Yusen Logistics posts open Procurement positions on its careers portal, covering roles in sourcing, vendor management, and contract administration across its logistics network. You can also browse current Procurement openings at Yusen Logistics on Migrate Mate, which filters for positions relevant to your visa category and sponsorship needs, helping you prioritize applications where sponsorship is most realistic.
Which visa types are commonly used for Procurement roles at Yusen Logistics?
Yusen Logistics has sponsored Procurement professionals through EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, which lead to permanent residency. EB-2 typically requires an advanced degree or a bachelor's degree plus significant relevant experience. EB-3 covers roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree. Both pathways involve PERM labor certification filed with the DOL before USCIS can adjudicate the immigrant petition.
What qualifications does Yusen Logistics expect for Procurement roles?
Procurement roles at Yusen Logistics typically require a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a closely related field. Practical experience with freight procurement, carrier contract negotiation, or vendor management within a logistics or 3PL environment strengthens your profile significantly. Familiarity with logistics cost structures and customs compliance processes can also differentiate candidates for more senior sourcing positions.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Procurement role at Yusen Logistics?
Because Yusen Logistics primarily sponsors through EB-2 or EB-3 green card pathways, the timeline is longer than an H-1B transfer. The PERM labor certification alone takes 12 to 18 months with the DOL, followed by the I-140 immigrant petition at USCIS. Depending on your country of birth and the visa bulletin backlog, total processing from PERM filing to Green Card approval can range from two years to significantly longer.
