Align your credentials with freight operations
Yusen Logistics fills supply chain roles tied to international freight, customs compliance, and 3PL coordination. Certifications like APICS CSCP or a customs broker license signal direct relevance and reduce employer hesitation around the sponsorship investment.
Target roles with clear degree requirements
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship both require the position to qualify as a specialty occupation under DOL standards. Supply chain analyst and logistics operations roles with a stated bachelor's degree requirement are stronger candidates for sponsorship than generalist coordinator titles.
Search open Supply Chain roles through Migrate Mate
Yusen Logistics posts supply chain openings across multiple locations. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles at Yusen that align with your background, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already part of the hiring picture.
Raise sponsorship early, not at offer stage
Logistics companies like Yusen evaluate sponsorship feasibility during the interview process, not after. Mentioning your visa situation in your second or third conversation, before negotiations, prevents a late-stage breakdown when the hiring team can't reverse course.
Prepare documentation that matches logistics job duties
For PERM and I-140 filings, USCIS and DOL scrutinize whether your degree and experience directly support the role's duties. Build a clear paper trail: transcripts, job descriptions from previous roles in freight or supply chain, and any relevant professional licenses.

Find Supply Chain at Yusen Logistics JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Yusen Logistics sponsor H-1B visas for Supply Chains?
Yusen Logistics has focused its visa sponsorship activity for Supply Chain roles on employment-based Green Card pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3 rather than H-1B. If you're currently on H-1B status through another employer and receive an offer from Yusen, a transfer is possible, but the company's sponsorship pattern for this function leans toward permanent residency rather than initial H-1B filings.
How do I apply for Supply Chain jobs at Yusen Logistics?
You can browse open Supply Chain positions at Yusen Logistics directly through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles where visa sponsorship is part of the hiring process. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight freight operations, customs compliance, or 3PL experience specific to Yusen's service lines. Disclosing your visa situation in your cover letter or early in the screening process helps avoid misalignment later.
Which visa types does Yusen Logistics commonly use for Supply Chain roles?
Yusen Logistics' Supply Chain sponsorship activity is concentrated in employment-based immigrant visa categories, specifically EB-2 for roles requiring advanced degrees or exceptional expertise, and EB-3 for positions filled by professionals with bachelor's degrees. These pathways lead to permanent residency rather than temporary work authorization, which reflects the company's approach to retaining supply chain talent long term.
What qualifications does Yusen Logistics expect for sponsored Supply Chain positions?
Sponsored Supply Chain roles at Yusen typically require a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience in international freight, customs brokerage, or 3PL operations carries significant weight. Fluency with freight management systems and familiarity with import and export compliance strengthens your candidacy for roles where the company is willing to invest in sponsorship.
How do I navigate the timeline between a job offer and visa approval at Yusen Logistics?
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, expect the full process from PERM labor certification through I-140 approval to take two years or more, depending on DOL processing backlogs and your country of birth. If you're currently on a nonimmigrant visa, confirm your authorized period of stay with USCIS before accepting an offer, and work with Yusen's immigration counsel to bridge any gap between your current status and Green Card approval.
