- Contribute to the evolution of the Zoox safety case by providing technical evidence and validation data ahead of every major development milestone.
- Lead the technical and logistical planning of tests.
- Design test programs to achieve high coverage of requirements and scenarios, drawing on simulation and analysis where possible.
- Maintain rigorous end-to-end traceability between requirements, test cases, and results to produce a closed-loop safety case.
- Perform sophisticated test data analysis and define automated data extraction tools to streamline reporting and ensure high-fidelity performance metrics.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with requirement and test traceability tools such as Polarion, Jama, DOORS, or TestRails.
- Deep understanding of the V-model and the application of verification and validation to safety-critical systems.
- Ability to grapple with ambiguity and lead cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with probability, statistics, and risk assessment methodology.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience developing integration and test plans for fail-operational architectures or safety-critical robotic systems.
- Hands-on experience with industry safety standards such as ISO 26262 or ISO 21448 (SOTIF).
- Experience with test scripting and data analysis languages (Python and SQL preferred).
- Familiarity with programming languages such as C or C++.
COMPENSATION
- Base Salary Range: $200,000 - $273,000 a year

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding IT Support Jobs at Zoox Jobs
Align your certifications to Zoox's stack
Zoox's IT environment supports a dense engineering org with Linux, cloud infrastructure, and endpoint management at scale. Certifications like CompTIA Linux+, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or JAMF Pro signal you can support the tools their hardware and software engineers actually use.
Target roles labeled IT Support Engineer
Zoox posts IT Support positions under several titles, including IT Support Engineer and IT Operations. Filtering by those exact terms on their careers page surfaces roles most likely to include sponsorship, since they sit within the engineering-adjacent org where Zoox actively sponsors international hires.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Zoox IT roles
Zoox's open IT Support positions aren't always visible through general job boards. Browse Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Zoox roles that include visa sponsorship, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than guessing.
Ask about LCA timing during the offer stage
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can process your H-1B or E-3 petition. During the offer stage, ask your recruiter whether the LCA has been initiated so you can estimate a realistic start date and plan your status transition accordingly.
Account for F-1 OPT expiration before accepting
If you're on F-1 OPT, the 60-day grace period begins the day your authorized employment ends, not when your OPT card expires. Align your offer letter start date with your OPT end date to avoid a gap in work authorization while Zoox's petition is pending.

Find IT Support at Zoox JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Zoox sponsor H-1B visas for IT Support roles?
Yes, Zoox sponsors H-1B visas for IT Support positions. They also sponsor H-1B1, E-3, TN, EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1, which gives international candidates in this function more than one pathway to work authorization. If you're not subject to the H-1B lottery, E-3 or TN may offer a faster route to the same role.
Which visa types are most common for IT Support roles at Zoox?
H-1B is the most widely used visa for IT Support roles at Zoox, but the company also sponsors E-3 visas for Australian citizens and TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals. For candidates already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT or CPT, Zoox supports those statuses as a bridge while a longer-term petition is filed. The right visa depends on your nationality and current status.
How do I apply for IT Support jobs at Zoox?
Apply directly through Zoox's careers page or browse open IT Support positions with confirmed visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate. Before applying, review the job description carefully for the specific technical environment mentioned, since Zoox's IT roles vary in scope from endpoint support to infrastructure operations. Tailoring your application to those specifics improves your chances of advancing past the initial screen.
What qualifications does Zoox look for in IT Support candidates?
Zoox typically looks for experience supporting Linux and macOS endpoints, familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, and hands-on experience with ticketing systems and device management tools like JAMF or Intune. A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field is standard for roles that require visa sponsorship under the specialty occupation criteria.
How do I plan my timeline if Zoox sponsors my H-1B petition?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in early March each year, with the cap starting October 1. If you're selected, expect several months between registration and your petition approval. Premium processing reduces USCIS adjudication time to roughly 15 business days. Build your offer negotiation around these windows so your start date aligns with when your authorization will actually be in place.
