Experienced Construction Laborer / General Construction Technician

Position Overview

Platinum Construction Management LLC is seeking an experienced, reliable, and motivated Construction Laborer to assist with residential and commercial construction and renovation projects throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on construction experience, knowledge of multiple trades, and the ability to complete assigned tasks independently with minimal supervision.

This is not a full-time position. Work will be scheduled based on project needs, workload, and availability. Hours may vary from week to week.

We are looking for someone dependable, versatile, and capable of maintaining high standards of workmanship and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general construction activities, including demolition, framing, drywall, carpentry, and minor repairs.

Assist with flooring, trim installation, painting, and finishing work.

Complete assigned construction tasks independently and efficiently.

Assist skilled tradespeople and subcontractors as needed.

Measure, cut, assemble, and install construction materials accurately.

Safely operate common construction hand and power tools.

Pick up and deliver construction materials, tools, and supplies as assigned.

Travel between project locations throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Load, unload, organize, and stage construction materials.

Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites.

Identify construction issues and promptly communicate concerns to supervisors.

Follow project specifications, instructions, and safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on construction experience.

Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Reliable, insured personal transportation.

Ability to travel between project locations and perform approved material pickups and deliveries.

Experience with general carpentry, drywall, framing, demolition, and repairs.

Proficiency with construction hand and power tools.

Ability to read measurements accurately.

Ability to work independently without constant supervision.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.

Professional communication skills.

Ability to perform physically demanding construction work, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

Residential and commercial renovation experience.

Drywall finishing and painting skills.

Flooring, door, baseboard, and trim installation experience.

Ability to interpret basic construction drawings.

OSHA 10 certification.

Schedule & Availability

Part-time, as-needed, and project-based opportunities.

Work schedules will depend on active construction projects.

Hours and days may vary depending on project requirements.

Flexibility to accept assignments at different job sites is preferred.

Consistent full-time hours are not guaranteed.

Transportation & Mileage Reimbursement

A company vehicle is not provided.

Applicants must have reliable personal transportation to travel between job sites and complete assigned material pickups and deliveries.

Approved business-related mileage will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy.
