Construction Project Lead Jobs in Seattle: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a construction project lead job in Seattle?
Target Seattle's active commercial and infrastructure sectors first, including mixed-use development in South Lake Union, waterfront redevelopment projects along the Elliott Bay corridor, and large-scale public works tied to the city's ongoing transit expansion. General contractors, construction management firms, and public agencies like Seattle Public Utilities post regularly. Candidates with experience in sustainable building practices or LEED-certified projects tend to stand out in this market.
Which companies hire construction project leads in Seattle?
Employers hiring construction project leads in Seattle right now include Amazon, Turner & Townsend Pty Limited, and Turner & Townsend, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. The Seattle market includes a mix of regional general contractors, national construction management firms, and public-sector agencies managing large infrastructure and transit projects.
Are there remote construction project lead jobs in Seattle?
Yes, though most construction project lead roles require regular on-site presence given the hands-on nature of the work. About 10% of construction project lead openings tied to Seattle are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, and those tend to cover preconstruction planning, scheduling, and owner-side project oversight rather than active field supervision.
How can I get a construction project lead job in Seattle with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Seattle is through an assistant or junior project coordinator role at a mid-size general contractor or construction management firm. Seattle-area companies running active commercial or multifamily pipelines often bring in coordinators they promote internally. Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar project management tools gives candidates a concrete edge when competing against others with similar field experience.
Which industries hire the most construction project leads in Seattle?
Seattle construction project lead roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, Construction & Real Estate, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Seattle's sustained investment in commercial real estate, public transit infrastructure, and tech-campus development has kept demand across those sectors consistently active.
