About Us

New Wave Development is an established real estate investment and development company specializing in residential renovations, fix-and-flips, and new construction throughout Greater Boston.

We are looking for an experienced General Contractor or Construction Project Manager to oversee our residential renovation projects on a consistent, long-term basis.

Most of our projects are located in Boston, Arlington, Lexington, Cambridge, Wellesley, Needham, and Newton, with additional projects potentially located anywhere within approximately 20–30 minutes of Boston. Candidates must be comfortable traveling between job sites throughout these areas.

This is an ideal opportunity for an independent GC or experienced construction professional who enjoys managing projects but doesn't want the constant burden of finding new clients and generating new business.

We provide the projects, funding, and an established network of subcontractors. You focus on managing construction and delivering quality results.

Responsibilities

• Oversee residential renovation projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors to keep projects moving efficiently.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and construction quality.
• Conduct regular site visits and oversee day-to-day construction activities.
• Coordinate material orders, deliveries, inspections, and project milestones.
• Identify and resolve construction issues proactively.
• Maintain clear communication with ownership regarding progress, budgets, and scheduling.
• Manage punch lists and ensure projects are completed on time and to our quality standards.

Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 5 years of residential construction or project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of residential renovations, including framing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and finish work.
• Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and construction schedules.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage projects with minimal oversight.
• Existing subcontractor relationships are a plus.
• Massachusetts CSL strongly preferred but not required.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel regularly to job sites.

Compensation & Structure

This is not a traditional salaried position. Actual compensation, workload, and time commitments will depend on how the arrangement is structured, the number of active projects, their size and complexity, and the mutually agreed-upon fee structure.

We are flexible in structuring an arrangement that makes sense for both parties and are primarily focused on finding the right long-term partner.

We are seeking someone interested in a consistent, ongoing relationship rather than occasional one-off projects.
