We're looking for a Project Engineer, APM or PM for civil and water infrastructure who wants more than just another project—someone who takes pride in building quality infrastructure, leading successful teams, and delivering projects the right way.
This role is ideal for a project manager with experience in heavy civil and water/wastewater construction who understands how to manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and owner relationships while keeping projects on track. Whether you've managed treatment plants, pump stations, underground utilities, or other civil infrastructure projects, we'd like to talk.
You'll work closely with experienced superintendents and company leadership, with minimal layers between project teams and ownership. We value leaders who communicate well, solve problems, build strong relationships with owners and engineers, and take ownership of project success from start to finish.
We offer a competitive compensation package, strong benefits, bonus opportunities, and the chance to build challenging infrastructure projects with a well-established and growing Nashville contractor.
The ideal candidate comes with prior treatment plant experience, building water quality infrastructure, lift stations, pump stations, including but not limited to experience with dirt, yard piping, structural concrete, inside mechanical and process piping.

Construction Project Manager Jobs in Nashville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a construction project manager job in Nashville?
Focus on Nashville's most active hiring sectors: commercial development in the Gulch and SoBro, healthcare construction tied to the medical district near Vanderbilt, and the wave of mixed-use and multifamily projects reshaping North Nashville and East Nashville. General contractors, national developers with Nashville offices, and large healthcare systems post the most openings. Candidates with PMP certification and experience managing ground-up projects in urban infill environments stand out in this market.
Which companies hire construction project managers in Nashville?
Companies currently hiring construction project managers in Nashville include Oracle, JE Dunn Construction, and Connico, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Nashville's hiring mix leans toward regional general contractors, national commercial developers with local offices, and healthcare and hospitality operators driving major capital projects across the metro.
Are there remote construction project manager jobs in Nashville?
Yes, though remote work is limited in this role given the on-site coordination it requires. About 39% of construction project manager openings tied to Nashville are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, which tend to be pre-construction, estimating, or program management roles rather than active field supervision. Owner's representative and program management positions within Nashville's healthcare and corporate real estate sectors offer the most flexibility.
How can I get a construction project manager job in Nashville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Nashville is through assistant project manager or project engineer roles with regional general contractors handling the city's active multifamily and commercial pipeline. Nashville's sustained construction boom means many firms hire junior staff and promote quickly. Familiarity with Procore, scheduling software, and Nashville's permitting process through Metro Nashville codes gives early-career candidates a concrete edge when applying to local firms.
Which industries hire the most construction project managers in Nashville?
Nashville construction project manager roles concentrate in Manufacturing, Fashion & Apparel, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Nashville's sustained population growth, healthcare expansion anchored by the Vanderbilt and HCA campuses, and a hospitality and entertainment sector that continuously builds and renovates make these the dominant drivers of local construction project manager demand.
