Entry Level Content Lead Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level content lead job?
Employers hiring entry level content leads look for candidates who can show real work, not just a degree. A portfolio with writing samples, social content, email campaigns, or editorial calendars signals readiness. Internship experience, freelance projects, or a college publication role all count. Tailor your application to show you understand the employer's audience and content goals, since that strategic awareness sets junior candidates apart at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level content leads?
Companies hiring entry level content leads right now include Nexstar Media Group, Rippling, and TikTok, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring comes from a mix of startups building out their content function for the first time and established brands looking for junior talent to support existing content teams.
Are there remote entry level content lead jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and industry. About 29% of entry level content lead openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, making this a role where early-career candidates have real flexibility in where they work. Hybrid roles are common at larger organizations, while fully remote positions tend to appear more often at digital-first companies and agencies.
Are these new grad content lead jobs?
Yes, many of these listings are new grad and junior roles that explicitly welcome candidates with little or no professional experience. A new grad friendly posting typically accepts zero to two years of experience and treats internships, class projects, or a personal content portfolio as qualifying credentials. Look for language like "recent graduates encouraged to apply" or "will train" as clear signals that the role is built for entry level candidates.
Which industries hire the most entry level content leads?
Entry Level content lead roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Education, and Media & Entertainment, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they depend on consistent content output across digital channels, creating steady demand for junior candidates who can contribute quickly without requiring years of specialized experience.
