COO Jobs in Phoenix: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a coo job in Phoenix?
Focus on Phoenix's dominant hiring sectors: healthcare systems, technology companies, and financial services firms clustered in the Camelback Corridor and Tempe. Candidates with operational experience scaling mid-size organizations stand out locally. Building relationships through the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce and the Arizona Technology Council gives you direct access to the executives making these hires before positions are publicly posted.
Which companies hire coos in Phoenix?
Companies currently hiring coos in Phoenix include Banner Health, JVMI, and AACHC, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Phoenix's employer mix is broad, ranging from publicly traded corporations headquartered Downtown to fast-growing technology and healthcare companies expanding across the metro.
Are there remote coo jobs in Phoenix?
Yes, though coo roles are less remote-friendly than most executive positions given the hands-on operational oversight the role requires. About 38% of coo openings tied to Phoenix are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with hybrid arrangements more common than fully remote. Strategic and financial oversight responsibilities tend to be the functions most compatible with remote or hybrid schedules in Phoenix.
How can I get a coo job in Phoenix with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Phoenix is moving into an operations manager or director of operations role at one of the metro's growing mid-size technology or healthcare companies, which regularly promote from within. Tempe-based startups and the healthcare networks expanding across the East Valley are known for giving operations professionals earlier leadership exposure than larger national employers would. Demonstrating cross-functional project ownership and P&L familiarity accelerates the path considerably.
Which industries hire the most coos in Phoenix?
Most coo openings in Phoenix sit in Healthcare & Medical Services and Insurance, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Phoenix's rapid population growth and its emergence as a corporate relocation destination have made those sectors the primary drivers of executive operations hiring across the metro.
