Entry Level Corporate Counsel Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level corporate counsel job?
Employers at this level look for candidates who completed law school clinics, in-house internships, or transactional work during summer associate programs. Highlight any contract drafting, compliance research, or regulatory work in your application materials. A writing sample that shows clear legal analysis and attention to business context gives entry level candidates a real edge over applicants who rely only on grades.
Which companies hire entry level corporate counsels?
Companies hiring entry level corporate counsels right now include Amazon, Audible, and Packsize, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level covers large corporations with structured legal rotations, fast-growing technology companies building out their first in-house teams, and financial services firms that bring on junior attorneys to support compliance and contracting work.
Are there remote entry level corporate counsel jobs?
Yes, though most entry level roles still favor on-site or hybrid arrangements while attorneys build foundational skills alongside senior colleagues. About 0% of entry level corporate counsel openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and that share continues to grow as more companies expand distributed legal teams for contract review and compliance functions.
Are these new grad corporate counsel jobs?
Yes, many of the listings on this page are new grad and junior corporate counsel roles that welcome recent graduates with zero to two years of experience. A new-grad-friendly posting typically accepts law school internships or clinic work in place of full-time experience and may ask for a writing sample rather than a portfolio of closed deals, making them accessible to candidates entering in-house practice directly from law school.
Which industries hire the most entry level corporate counsels?
Entry Level corporate counsel roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Retail, and E-Commerce & Online Marketplaces, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they face ongoing contracting, privacy, and regulatory demands that require dedicated in-house legal support even from attorneys who are early in their careers.
