Job Purpose
Intern Program Overview:
We are committed to building a strong talent pipeline by investing in early career professionals. Our internship and co-op programs provide mentorship, training, hands-on experience, and growth opportunities that empower students to explore their career paths with confidence. Key Responsibilities
This role will assist the Head of Risk Communications by producing concise weekly reports based on social media and traditional media review, and other internal and external ingest points. The Co-op will help identify emerging issues, reputational risks, narrative trends, and misinformation dynamics relevant to CNH's global operations, supporting early awareness and informed decision-making.
Working within a highly matrixed, global organization, the Co-op will collaborate with Communications, Enterprise Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders to synthesize report outputs into clear, actionable insights.
Responsibilities include tracking risk signals, summarizing sentiment and narrative shifts, and contributing to continuous improvement of reporting processes aligned with CNH's enterprise risk communications governance model.
Experience Required
Must be pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Communications with an emphasis in Crisis Communications, Journalism, International Communications.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong writing and analytical skills, a keen awareness of the rapidly shifting global media and social media landscape, and an interest in risk, crisis, or strategic communications. Experience or coursework related to global organizations is preferred. A global mindset and comfort working across cultures and functions are strongly valued.
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is USD $21.37 - $26.27 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.

CPT authorization names a specific employer, not a client site. If the consulting firm is your legal employer of record, the authorization covers the engagement even if you work on-site at a client. Confirm with your DSO that the offer letter lists the consulting firm as the employer and describes the risk management duties you'll actually perform.
How do I find Risk Management Consultant employers who hire CPT students?

What happens to my CPT authorization if the engagement is extended?
CPT is authorized per term and per employer. If your risk management consulting engagement extends beyond the original authorization period, you need a new or updated CPT authorization from your DSO before continuing work. Gaps in authorization, even short ones, create compliance issues under SEVIS regulations, so request the extension before your current one expires.
Does full-time CPT in a risk management role affect my OPT eligibility?
Yes. If you accumulate 12 months or more of full-time CPT across all employers and terms, you lose OPT eligibility entirely. Part-time CPT, defined as 20 hours or fewer per week, does not count against OPT. Many risk management consulting roles start as part-time engagements, which lets you gain field experience without affecting your post-graduation work authorization.
