Entry Level CT Tech Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level ct tech job?
Employers hiring entry level ct techs prioritize ARRT registration or active registry eligibility, completed clinical rotations in CT, and hands-on experience with major scanner platforms. A focused resume that highlights your clinical hours, specific scan protocols you performed, and any cross-training in related imaging modalities gives you a clear edge over candidates who list coursework alone.
Which companies hire entry level ct techs?
Companies hiring entry level ct techs right now include Ascension, CommonSpirit Health, and The Medical Center, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hospitals, outpatient imaging centers, and multi-site radiology groups tend to post the most entry level openings, as they run high scan volumes and regularly need new graduates to fill staff positions.
Are there remote entry level ct tech jobs?
Yes, though the majority of ct tech roles require in-person patient care. About 1% of entry level ct tech openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically involve tele-radiology support, image review, or quality assurance work rather than direct scanner operation.
Are these new grad ct tech jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior ct tech roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts clinical rotations or internship hours toward its requirements, or explicitly states that a strong candidate with a portfolio of completed procedures will be considered alongside more experienced applicants.
Which industries hire the most entry level ct techs?
Entry Level ct tech roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Non-Profit & Social Services, and Insurance, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive entry level hiring because high patient volume, equipment investment, and ongoing staff turnover create consistent demand for newly registered techs ready to step into a full caseload.
