Entry Level LVT Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level lvt job?
Start by completing your credentialing exam and highlighting any clinical externships, volunteer hours, or supervised practice from your program. Entry level employers hiring lvts typically look for candidates who demonstrate hands-on patient handling skills and familiarity with common veterinary software. Applying to general practices, animal hospitals, and specialty clinics that explicitly welcome new graduates gives you the strongest starting point.
Which companies hire entry level lvts?
Companies hiring entry level lvts right now include Vetcor, NVA, and Banfield Pet Hospital, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of private veterinary practices, corporate animal hospital groups, and specialty emergency clinics that build their teams by bringing on new graduates.
Are there remote entry level lvt jobs?
Yes, though most lvt roles require in-person clinical work. About 0% of entry level lvt openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and these tend to be telehealth support, client education, or administrative coordination roles rather than direct patient care positions. On-site openings remain the majority at this level.
Are these new grad lvt jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior lvt roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship or externship hours in place of full-time history, or explicitly invites candidates who are newly credentialed. Searching for junior or new grad lvt roles surfaces the same category of openings.
Which industries hire the most entry level lvts?
Entry Level lvt roles concentrate in Animal Care & Pet Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at the entry level because they maintain high patient volume, run multiple exam rooms, and rely on lvts to handle routine procedures that free veterinarians for more complex cases.
