Data Analyst Intern Jobs in Kansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a data analyst intern in Kansas?
The most direct path is enrolling in a business, statistics, computer science, or mathematics program at a Kansas university such as the University of Kansas, Kansas State University, or Wichita State University, all of which have established co-op and internship pipelines. No state-issued license is required for data analyst intern roles. Employers look for coursework in statistics or databases, a working knowledge of SQL or Python, and at least one project or course portfolio demonstrating real analysis.
Which companies hire data analyst interns in Kansas?
Companies currently hiring data analyst interns in Kansas include CVS Health, Walgreens, and International Rescue Committee, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Kansas's concentration of large corporate headquarters, regional insurers, and agribusiness firms means internship programs here tend to involve real production data rather than sandbox projects.
Which Kansas cities have the most data analyst intern jobs?
Wichita, Overland Park, and Topeka account for the most data analyst intern openings in Kansas. Wichita leads because of its aerospace manufacturing and healthcare employer base, Kansas City draws openings tied to finance, logistics, and technology firms operating on the Kansas side of the metro, and Topeka produces openings through state government agencies and regional insurance carriers.
Are there remote data analyst intern jobs in Kansas?
Yes, and more than most fields, since data analyst intern work is desk-based and output is deliverable digitally. About 45% of data analyst intern openings tied to Kansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly distributed analytical work has become. The tasks most commonly done remotely include reporting builds, data cleaning, and dashboard maintenance, while stakeholder presentations and onboarding sessions are more likely to require on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a data analyst intern in Kansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying through university career offices at Kansas State University, the University of Kansas, or Wichita State University, which run structured intern pipelines with employers like Koch Industries subsidiaries, Evergy, and regional healthcare systems. Candidates without prior work experience strengthen their applications by completing a capstone or independent project using a public dataset, earning a recognized certification in Tableau or Microsoft Power BI, and applying to rotational or co-op programs that are explicitly designed for students with no professional history.
Where can I find and apply to data analyst intern jobs in Kansas?
You can find and apply to data analyst intern jobs in Kansas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Kansas openings. Search the listings, find the roles that match your background and availability, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
