Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Healthcare Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team. This individual will partner with executive leadership, clinical operations, finance, and business stakeholders to transform complex healthcare data into actionable insights that drive operational performance, quality outcomes, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare analytics experience, business acumen, and the ability to communicate data-driven recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze healthcare data including claims, utilization, referrals, authorizations, clinical, and operational metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Perform root cause analyses and develop actionable recommendations to improve quality, efficiency, and financial performance.
- Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
- Design and maintain dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and executive reporting using Power BI and other BI tools.
- Ensure data integrity and collaborate with technical teams to enhance reporting capabilities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, performance measurement, and business insights.
- Stay current on healthcare regulations, CMS initiatives, reimbursement methodologies, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Analytics, Public Health, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years of healthcare analytics experience.
- Experience analyzing healthcare claims, utilization management, referral, authorization, clinical, or population health data.
- Experience supporting executive leadership through strategic reporting and analytics.
- Background in managed care, health plans, provider organizations, healthcare consulting, or related healthcare settings preferred.
Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- SQL
- Power BI (or similar BI platform)
- Experience with healthcare data warehouses, dashboard development, and executive reporting
