Data Analytics Manager Jobs in Arizona: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a data analytics manager in Arizona?
Most data analytics manager roles in Arizona start with a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as data science, statistics, or computer science, though many employers also value MBAs or master's degrees in analytics. No state-issued license is required in Arizona to work in this role. Candidates typically build several years of hands-on analytics experience, develop proficiency in tools like SQL and Tableau, then move into management by leading projects or small teams within Arizona's healthcare, financial services, or technology sectors.
How much do data analytics managers make in Arizona?
Data analytics managers in Arizona earn a median of about $107,240 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $65,200 for the lowest 10% to over $161,730 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire data analytics managers in Arizona?
Employers hiring data analytics managers in Arizona right now include Raytheon, American Express, and Agile Defense, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Arizona's concentration of large healthcare systems, national financial institutions, and retail headquarters means demand for analytics leadership remains steady across multiple industries throughout the year.
Which Arizona cities have the most data analytics manager jobs?
Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tempe account for the largest share of data analytics manager openings in Arizona. Phoenix dominates because it is home to major corporate campuses and regional headquarters in finance and healthcare, while Scottsdale attracts technology firms and financial services companies, and Tempe benefits from its proximity to Arizona State University and a growing cluster of data-driven startups and enterprise operations.
Are there remote data analytics manager jobs in Arizona?
Yes, and more than most fields, since data analytics work is largely conducted on a computer and collaboration happens through shared platforms. About 80% of data analytics manager openings tied to Arizona are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how well-suited the role is for distributed work. Strategic and reporting-focused responsibilities tend to be the most remote-eligible, while roles requiring close oversight of on-site data infrastructure or live operations teams are more likely to require in-office presence.
How can I get hired as a data analytics manager in Arizona with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is building a portfolio of analytics projects and moving into a data analyst or business intelligence analyst role at an Arizona employer before pursuing management. Large Arizona healthcare systems like Banner Health and Dignity Health often hire for junior analyst positions that lead into team-lead roles, and companies such as American Express and Nationwide run rotational programs in their Phoenix operations for early-career data professionals. Earning a certification in Tableau, Google Data Analytics, or a cloud platform strengthens a candidate's profile when formal management experience is limited.
Where can I find and apply to data analytics manager jobs in Arizona?
You can find and apply to data analytics manager jobs in Arizona on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring in the state right now. Search the listings for roles that match your experience and specialization, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
