Data Analytics Manager Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a data analytics manager in Georgia?
The role has no state-issued license in Georgia, so the path runs through education and progressive experience. Most hiring managers in Georgia expect a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, with a master's in data science or business analytics giving candidates a competitive edge at larger employers such as those based in Atlanta's technology and financial services corridor. From there, the typical progression is several years as a data analyst or senior analyst before moving into a team lead or manager role.
How much do data analytics managers make in Georgia?
Data analytics managers in Georgia earn a median of about $104,340 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $67,750 for the lowest 10% to over $170,010 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire data analytics managers in Georgia?
Employers hiring data analytics managers in Georgia right now include The Home Depot, HD Supply, and DHL, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major health systems, and logistics companies means demand is consistent across industries rather than limited to a single sector.
Which Georgia cities have the most data analytics manager jobs?
Atlanta, Alpharetta, and Georgia have the most data analytics manager openings in Georgia. Atlanta drives the majority of postings through its dense cluster of corporate headquarters, fintech firms, and large health systems, while secondary markets like Savannah and Augusta reflect growth in port logistics analytics and regional healthcare network expansion.
Are there remote data analytics manager jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 65% of data analytics manager openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how naturally the role translates to distributed work. The parts of the role most commonly done remotely are reporting, modeling, and stakeholder presentations, while on-site expectations tend to apply when a manager oversees embedded teams or attends regular executive briefings.
How can I get hired as a data analytics manager in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is building management exposure through a senior analyst or team lead role before pursuing a manager title outright. Large Atlanta-area employers, including major health systems and financial technology firms, regularly hire into senior analyst roles that carry informal team oversight, which serves as a proving ground. Completing a Georgia-based MBA with a data or analytics concentration, or earning a certification such as a Certified Analytics Professional credential, strengthens a candidacy meaningfully for those transitioning from individual contributor roles.
Where can I find and apply to data analytics manager jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to data analytics manager jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings across industries and experience levels. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly from the listing.
