Data Analytics Manager Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a data analytics manager in Florida?
The typical path starts with a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, computer science, or business analytics, followed by several years of hands-on analytics work before moving into management. Florida does not require a state-issued license to work as a data analytics manager, so hiring decisions center on demonstrated technical skill, leadership experience, and industry knowledge. Certifications from vendors like Google, Microsoft, or Tableau strengthen a Florida application considerably.
How much do data analytics managers make in Florida?
Data analytics managers in Florida earn a median of about $115,820 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $63,080 for the lowest 10% to over $174,140 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire data analytics managers in Florida?
Employers hiring data analytics managers in Florida right now include Tetra Tech, Northrop Grumman, and State of Florida, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's mix of large healthcare networks, financial institutions, hospitality groups, and regional technology firms means openings appear across a wide range of industries rather than clustering in a single sector.
Which Florida cities have the most data analytics manager jobs?
Miami, Tampa, and Orlando consistently post the most data analytics manager openings in Florida. Miami leads because of its dense concentration of financial services firms and corporate headquarters, Tampa draws demand from healthcare systems and insurance carriers based there, and Orlando's large hospitality and theme-park operators create steady need for managers who can work with consumer and operations data.
Are there remote data analytics manager jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 55% of data analytics manager openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based, collaborative nature of the role. Strategy sessions, stakeholder presentations, and team oversight often require in-office time, so fully remote positions are more common at the individual-contributor level than at the management level.
How can I get hired as a data analytics manager in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a data analyst or business intelligence analyst role first, then building toward management over two to three years. Large Florida employers such as AdventHealth, Citi, and Florida Blue run structured analytics rotational or associate programs that place early-career candidates on teams where they can develop leadership exposure. Building a portfolio of end-to-end projects and earning a recognized platform certification, such as the Google Data Analytics Certificate or a Microsoft Power BI credential, measurably improves candidacy for junior analytics roles that serve as a bridge to management.
Where can I find and apply to data analytics manager jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to data analytics manager jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings updated regularly. Search the listings for roles that match your experience level, industry background, and preferred location, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
