At Visual Edge IT, we believe great business decisions start with great insight. As a growing technology organization, we’re looking for an analytical, curious, and business-minded FP&A Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team and help turn financial and operational data into decisions that move the business forward.
This is not a traditional reporting role. As an FP&A Analyst, you’ll go beyond the numbers to understand why performance looks the way it does, connect operational activity to financial outcomes, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities to improve business performance. You’ll work closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Sales, IT, and other business leaders to develop meaningful analysis, improve visibility, and support strategic company initiatives.
If you enjoy solving complex business problems, working with large datasets, building financial models, and translating analysis into clear recommendations, this role gives you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the organization.
- Perform financial and operational analysis to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and the key drivers behind business performance.
- Develop financial models, business cases, scenario analyses, and other analytical tools to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Analyze large and complex datasets from multiple systems and translate information into actionable business insights.
- Build and maintain KPI dashboards, management reporting packages, and analytical tools that improve visibility into business performance.
- Partner with business leaders to understand operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Leverage Business Intelligence tools and reporting platforms to expand analytical capabilities and improve how leaders access and use information.
- Present financial findings, insights, and recommendations clearly to Finance, business leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Support executive, Board, and lender reporting requirements with accurate, meaningful, and timely analysis.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and analysis, streamline processes, and improve the efficiency and quality of financial information.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Proactively identify business risks and opportunities and help translate findings into actions that improve performance.
- Build strong relationships across Finance, Accounting, Operations, Sales, IT, and other functions to serve as a trusted analytical partner to the business.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in FP&A, business analytics, corporate finance, consulting, or a related analytical role.
- Strong financial analysis, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft tools.
- Experience working with large datasets and Business Intelligence tools.
- Ability to synthesize complex financial and operational information into clear, concise business recommendations.
- Strong analytical curiosity and a demonstrated desire to understand the business drivers behind financial results—not simply report the numbers.
- Highly self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build credibility with business leaders.
- Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience with OneStream, Power BI, or similar reporting and analytics platforms is preferred.
- MBA or other advanced certifications are a plus, but not required.

Business Analyst Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business analyst in Florida?
Florida does not require a state-issued license to work as a business analyst, so the path starts with a bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, finance, or a related field. Most Florida employers expect familiarity with requirements documentation, data tools, and Agile frameworks. Earning a CBAP through the International Institute of Business Analysis or a PMI-PBA credential meaningfully strengthens applications, particularly at Florida's larger financial institutions and healthcare systems.
Which companies hire business analysts in Florida?
Employers hiring business analysts in Florida right now include Citi, Broward Health, and University of Miami, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's concentration of financial services firms, regional health systems, defense contractors, and technology companies means consistent demand for analysts who can bridge business operations and data-driven decision-making.
Which Florida cities have the most business analyst jobs?
Tampa, Miami, and Jacksonville account for the largest share of business analyst openings in Florida. Miami's deep financial services and international trade sectors, Tampa's growing technology and insurance industries, and Orlando's healthcare and hospitality-technology corridor collectively generate most of the state's demand, while Jacksonville's banking and logistics base contributes a steady volume of openings as well.
Are there remote business analyst jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 65% of business analyst openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based, documentation-heavy nature of the role. Requirements gathering and data analysis translate well to distributed work, so the portions of the job most likely to remain fully remote are analytical, modeling, and reporting tasks rather than in-person stakeholder workshops.
How can I get hired as a business analyst in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to junior or associate business analyst roles at Florida's large health systems and financial institutions, which regularly onboard candidates through new-graduate rotational programs. AdventHealth and Florida Blue both run structured analyst development tracks suited to recent graduates. Lateral moves from adjacent roles like operations coordinator, project coordinator, or data associate are common stepping stones, and completing a CBAP-prep certificate or building a process-improvement portfolio gives candidates a concrete edge in competitive applicant pools.
Where can I find and apply to business analyst jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to business analyst jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings updated regularly. Find the roles that fit your experience and target location, then apply directly to each position through the listing.
