Business Analyst Jobs in Jacksonville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a business analyst job in Jacksonville?
Focus your search on Jacksonville's dominant hiring sectors: financial services firms along the Downtown riverfront, large health systems on the Southside, and defense and logistics contractors near Naval Station Mayport and the Northside industrial corridor. Candidates who combine SQL or Tableau proficiency with domain knowledge in insurance, healthcare operations, or supply chain move fastest in this market. Networking through the Jacksonville chapter of IIBA also opens doors at mid-size firms that rarely post publicly.
Which companies hire business analysts in Jacksonville?
Companies currently hiring business analysts in Jacksonville include VeeRteq Solutions, FCT, and FIS, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Jacksonville's hiring base skews toward large financial institutions, regional health systems, and government contractors, with a growing number of tech-enabled logistics and insurance companies headquartered locally.
Are there remote business analyst jobs in Jacksonville?
Yes, business analyst work is well suited to remote arrangements given its focus on data analysis, documentation, and stakeholder communication rather than physical presence. About 49% of business analyst openings tied to Jacksonville are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting strong adoption among the city's financial services and tech employers. Process improvement and agile-focused roles at larger Downtown and Southside firms tend to offer the most flexible arrangements.
How can I get a business analyst job in Jacksonville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Jacksonville is targeting junior analyst or business systems coordinator roles at the city's large health systems or insurance carriers, which regularly hire candidates moving from operations or administrative backgrounds. Florida State College at Jacksonville and the University of North Florida both feed graduates into local entry-level pipelines. Building proficiency in Excel, Jira, or basic SQL before applying, and pursuing a CBAP associate credential, gives Jacksonville candidates a measurable edge over other applicants with similar experience levels.
Which industries hire the most business analysts in Jacksonville?
Jacksonville business analyst roles concentrate in Fintech, Banking & Financial Services, and Investment & Asset Management, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Jacksonville's position as a regional financial services hub, combined with major health system campuses and a substantial military and defense contracting presence, sustains consistent demand for analysts across all three sectors.
