At Visual Edge IT, we believe great business decisions start with great insight. As a growing technology organization, we’re looking for an analytical, curious, and business-minded FP&A Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team and help turn financial and operational data into decisions that move the business forward.
This is not a traditional reporting role. As an FP&A Analyst, you’ll go beyond the numbers to understand why performance looks the way it does, connect operational activity to financial outcomes, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities to improve business performance. You’ll work closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Sales, IT, and other business leaders to develop meaningful analysis, improve visibility, and support strategic company initiatives.
If you enjoy solving complex business problems, working with large datasets, building financial models, and translating analysis into clear recommendations, this role gives you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the organization.
- Perform financial and operational analysis to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and the key drivers behind business performance.
- Develop financial models, business cases, scenario analyses, and other analytical tools to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Analyze large and complex datasets from multiple systems and translate information into actionable business insights.
- Build and maintain KPI dashboards, management reporting packages, and analytical tools that improve visibility into business performance.
- Partner with business leaders to understand operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Leverage Business Intelligence tools and reporting platforms to expand analytical capabilities and improve how leaders access and use information.
- Present financial findings, insights, and recommendations clearly to Finance, business leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Support executive, Board, and lender reporting requirements with accurate, meaningful, and timely analysis.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and analysis, streamline processes, and improve the efficiency and quality of financial information.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Proactively identify business risks and opportunities and help translate findings into actions that improve performance.
- Build strong relationships across Finance, Accounting, Operations, Sales, IT, and other functions to serve as a trusted analytical partner to the business.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in FP&A, business analytics, corporate finance, consulting, or a related analytical role.
- Strong financial analysis, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft tools.
- Experience working with large datasets and Business Intelligence tools.
- Ability to synthesize complex financial and operational information into clear, concise business recommendations.
- Strong analytical curiosity and a demonstrated desire to understand the business drivers behind financial results—not simply report the numbers.
- Highly self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build credibility with business leaders.
- Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience with OneStream, Power BI, or similar reporting and analytics platforms is preferred.
- MBA or other advanced certifications are a plus, but not required.

Business Analyst Jobs in Orlando: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a business analyst job in Orlando?
Focus your search on Orlando's three strongest hiring pockets: healthcare and life sciences employers in Lake Nona, defense and simulation contractors near UCF's Research Park, and hospitality technology firms headquartered along the International Drive and Sand Lake Road corridor. Candidates who pair SQL or Power BI skills with experience in one of those sectors move faster through Orlando interviews. Agile and product ownership credentials also carry weight with the city's growing software employer base.
Which companies hire business analysts in Orlando?
Orlando business analyst roles are posted by JIRACOR, OneBlood, and Versant and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Orlando's market includes a notable mix of large regional health systems, defense and aerospace contractors, theme park and hospitality technology groups, and mid-size fintech and insurance firms, each hiring analysts at multiple seniority levels.
Are there remote business analyst jobs in Orlando?
Yes, business analyst work is generally desk-based and documentation-heavy, making it one of the more remote-friendly analytical roles on the market. About 25% of business analyst openings tied to Orlando are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, which is above average for professional roles in the region. Requirements-gathering and reporting work tends to stay remote, while stakeholder workshops and system implementation phases more often require on-site presence.
How can I get a business analyst job in Orlando with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Orlando is targeting junior or associate analyst openings at the city's large health systems, such as AdventHealth and Orlando Health, which run structured analyst development programs and hire from UCF, Valencia College, and Rollins College on a recurring basis. Entry-level roles with titles like operations analyst, data coordinator, or reporting analyst frequently convert to full business analyst positions within a year. Building a portfolio using public healthcare or tourism datasets, both sectors central to Orlando's economy, gives candidates a concrete differentiator in local interviews.
Which industries hire the most business analysts in Orlando?
Orlando business analyst roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Government & Public Sector, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Orlando's combination of two major hospital networks, a large defense simulation cluster anchored by the UCF Research Park, and a globally significant hospitality and theme park technology industry creates sustained, multi-sector demand that holds up even when hiring slows nationally.
