Analytics Director Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions

There is no state-issued license required to work as an analytics director in Florida, so the path runs through education and progressive experience. Most Florida employers expect a bachelor's degree at minimum, with a master's in business analytics, data science, or a related field preferred at the director level. Building experience in analyst and manager roles at Florida industries like healthcare, hospitality, or financial services, then earning credentials such as the Certified Analytics Professional designation, strengthens a candidacy considerably.
How much do analytics directors make in Florida?
Analytics directors in Florida earn a median of about $115,820 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $63,080 for the lowest 10% to over $174,140 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire analytics directors in Florida?
Employers hiring analytics directors in Florida right now include JLL, &Barr, and Dun & Bradstreet, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's mix of large healthcare systems, national retail headquarters, and financial services firms makes it one of the more consistent states for director-level analytics hiring year-round.
Which Florida cities have the most analytics director jobs?
Orlando, Jacksonville, and Florida account for the largest share of analytics director openings in Florida. Miami drives volume through its concentration of financial services, international trade, and technology companies, Tampa's growth in healthcare and insurance headquarters adds steady demand, and Orlando's tourism, hospitality, and healthcare sectors keep a consistent pipeline of director-level roles open throughout the year.
Are there remote analytics director jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields. Analytics director work is largely desk-based and data-driven, which makes it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 100% of analytics director openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how normalized flexible work has become at the director level in this discipline. Strategy, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration tasks are the functions most commonly performed fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a analytics director in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is stepping into a senior analyst or analytics manager role first, then moving into a director position within two to three years. Large Florida employers such as AdventHealth, Darden Restaurants, and Carnival Corporation regularly hire analytics managers from internal promotions and external candidates with strong hands-on backgrounds in SQL, Python, or BI tools. Building a portfolio of dashboards or published analyses, earning a Certified Analytics Professional credential, and targeting high-growth Florida sectors like healthcare technology and e-commerce give candidates without a long management history a competitive edge.
