Data Analyst Lead Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a data analyst lead in Georgia?
The most direct path is earning a bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a closely related field, then building several years of hands-on analytics experience before moving into a lead role. Georgia does not require a state-issued license to work as a data analyst lead. Georgia Tech's professional education programs and Emory's analytics offerings are well-regarded by Atlanta-area employers and can strengthen a candidate's profile when competing for leadership-level roles.
How much do data analyst leads make in Georgia?
Data analyst leads in Georgia earn a median of about $104,340 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $67,750 for the lowest 10% to over $170,010 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire data analyst leads in Georgia?
Employers hiring data analyst leads in Georgia right now include HD Supply, The Home Depot, and 4P Consulting, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, large hospital networks, and major logistics operations means steady demand from established enterprises rather than primarily startup hiring.
Which Georgia cities have the most data analyst lead jobs?
Atlanta, Alpharetta, and Georgia account for the highest concentration of data analyst lead openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates because it houses the regional headquarters of financial institutions, airlines, and technology firms that run large data teams, while any suburban or secondary markets on that list typically reflect major hospital systems or defense and government contractors with significant analytics functions in those areas.
Are there remote data analyst lead jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields, because data analyst lead work is inherently desk-based and centered on cloud platforms that require no physical presence. About 62% of data analyst lead openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly distributed analytics infrastructure has become. Strategic and governance responsibilities are most often fully remote, while roles involving direct collaboration with local business units tend to require at least some on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a data analyst lead in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is securing an analyst or business intelligence analyst role first, then building toward a lead title through demonstrated project ownership. Large Georgia employers such as Delta Air Lines, Elevance Health, and Georgia-Pacific regularly hire associate or junior analysts through new-grad programs, and state government agencies across Atlanta post entry-level data roles with structured growth tracks. Completing a portfolio of end-to-end projects using Tableau or Power BI and earning a cloud certification from Google or AWS gives candidates a concrete edge when applying for those feeder roles.
Where can I find and apply to data analyst lead jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to data analyst lead jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to Georgia employers. Find roles that fit your experience and specialization and apply directly to each one.
