ChristianaCare's Family Medicine Center at Foulk Road is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse II to deliver high-quality, safe, and evidence-based patient care. This role is responsible for achieving optimal patient outcomes through both independent practice and collaborative teamwork within the clinical setting. The Registered Nurse II will apply the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, contributing as a trusted and integral member of the healthcare team.
Family Medicine Center at Foulk Road is in Wilmington, Delaware. A fast-paced, mission-driven academic practice where you’ll play a critical role in supporting both patient care and the next generation of providers. Our practice includes physicians who serve as faculty members and educators, working alongside resident physicians who are actively training in an academic environment. Faculty and clinical teams remain engaged in ongoing research, innovation, and professional development—ensuring patients receive high-quality, leading-edge, and compassionate care. The Registered Nurse II will support a diverse patient population across the lifespan while working in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team. You will assist in delivering high-quality primary care services, support clinical procedures, and help ensure smooth daily operations in a busy outpatient environment.
Family Medicine Center at Foulk Road | ChristianaCare
The Family Medicine Center at Foulk Road is a well-established, team-based primary care practice consisting of Attending Physicians, Resident Physicians, and Nurse Practitioners. The clinical team is supported by Registered Nurses and Medical Assistants, ensuring comprehensive patient care delivery. Administrative and patient support functions are provided by Medical Office Assistants, Administrative Assistants, and a Scheduler. Together, this multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to deliver high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care in a coordinated healthcare environment.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Fridays: 8am to 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5pm
Cross coverage to Family Medicine at Wilmington when necessary

Duties / Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse II, this role will provide age-appropriate, patient-centered care to pediatric through geriatric populations in both virtual and in-person settings, using strong clinical knowledge to assess and address patient needs. This role includes delivering services such as wellness visits, care management, point-of-care testing, and triaging patients, while collaborating closely with providers to support examinations, procedures, and efficient clinic operations.
As a Registered Nurse II, will serve as a key liaison among patients, providers, and staff, ensuring clear communication, coordinating workflow, and responding to urgent situations. Will also support staff development through training and mentorship, participates in quality and compliance initiatives, and contributes to process improvement efforts—all while maintaining a strong focus on safety, patient education, and high-quality care delivery.
Education Requirements:
A graduate of a state approved or National League of Nursing accredited School of Nursing.
Registered Nurse licensure or eligible for licensure in the state Delaware, Maryland or Pennsylvania & New Jersey depending on location of employment.
Two years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, physician office experience is preferred.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (AND) will be considered with an agreement of completion of BSN in 3 years
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
