How do I get a design manager job in Dallas?
The strongest path into a design manager role in Dallas is through the city's technology, commercial real estate, and corporate services sectors, which generate consistent hiring. Uptown and Legacy West host many of the firms posting these roles. Candidates who can show cross-functional leadership, a portfolio demonstrating systems thinking, and familiarity with Dallas-area client industries tend to stand out in a competitive local market.
Which companies hire design managers in Dallas?

Dallas attracts a wide range of employers, from global corporations with regional headquarters to fast-growing mid-size firms in tech and professional services.
Are there remote design manager jobs in Dallas?
Yes, though availability depends on the role type. Design managers overseeing in-person studio teams or on-site production tend to work on-site, while those leading digital product or UX design functions often have more flexibility. About 73% of design manager openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026. Digital product and brand strategy roles represent the largest share of remote-eligible positions in the Dallas market.
How can I get a design manager job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Dallas is through a senior individual contributor role at a mid-size firm in the Uptown or Deep Ellum creative scene, where smaller teams often give designers early exposure to project leadership. Dallas also has a strong agency community where senior designers frequently step into team lead positions before moving to full management titles.
