Position Title: Principal Designer – Piping

The Principal Designer- Piping is responsible for performing detailed design activities in the Piping discipline.
Essential Functions
- Perform complex designs and layouts of Piping & Instrument Diagrams, Piping Plans, Sections & Isometrics and Piping Bill of Materials utilizing CAD hardware and software.
- Review vendor drawings and information.
- Train and direct designers and other CAD personnel.
- Ability to function in lead role on projects.

Requirements:Qualifications
- 5 years of CAD experience
- 10 or more years of design experience in a drafting environment developing Piping & Instrument Designs (P&IDs), piping plans and sections and piping bills of materials.
- Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards
- Previous project leadership Preferred
- Experience in piping projects for pipeline companies’ and/or upstream companies’ compressor stations, pump stations and facilities Preferred
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- CadWorx required
- Microsoft Excel
Education
- High school diploma required
- Associate's degree or certification from technical trade preferred

- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
