Devops Lead Jobs in Nevada: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a devops lead in Nevada?
There is no state-issued license or registration required to work as a devops lead in Nevada. The typical path starts with a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, followed by several years in DevOps or systems engineering roles. Nevada employers, particularly those in gaming and data center operations, place strong emphasis on cloud certifications from AWS, Google, or Microsoft and demonstrated leadership experience on infrastructure teams.
How much do devops leads make in Nevada?
Devops leads in Nevada earn a median of about $128,810 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $73,990 for the lowest 10% to over $194,470 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire devops leads in Nevada?
Companies currently hiring devops leads in Nevada include Speechify, TensorWave, and AtkinsRéalis, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nevada's large-scale data center operators and gaming technology divisions tend to maintain ongoing demand for devops lead talent year-round.
Which Nevada cities have the most devops lead jobs?
Las Vegas, Reno, and Henderson have the most devops lead openings in Nevada. Las Vegas drives the bulk of listings because of its dense concentration of gaming operators, hospitality technology teams, and colocation data center campuses, while Reno and Henderson have grown as secondary hubs tied to regional tech campuses and financial services employers that have relocated operations to Nevada.
Are there remote devops lead jobs in Nevada?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 28% of devops lead openings tied to Nevada are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how much of the work centers on cloud infrastructure and automation tooling that can be managed from anywhere. Roles involving direct oversight of on-premises hardware in casino floors or data centers are more likely to require on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a devops lead in Nevada with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a junior DevOps or cloud engineer role first, then building toward leadership. Nevada's large data center operators and gaming technology teams regularly bring on associate infrastructure engineers and systems administrators as lateral entry points. Earning an AWS or Microsoft Azure associate certification strengthens any application considerably. Candidates who contribute to open-source infrastructure projects or build a GitHub portfolio demonstrating CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code work stand out to Nevada hiring managers even without formal lead experience.
Where can I find and apply to devops lead jobs in Nevada?
You can find and apply to devops lead jobs in Nevada on Migrate Mate, which lists current Nevada openings across the state's technology, gaming, and data center sectors. Find roles that fit your experience and apply directly without creating a profile or signing up.
