Devops Lead Jobs in Texas

We are looking for a self-driven, highly organized Senior Software Engineer who combines strong software development skills with technical leadership and consistent follow-through. You will create software and scripts, lead DevOps and CI/CD improvements, coordinate mobile product launches, and investigate complex field issues across connected systems. AI-enabled engineering is central to this role and will be used responsibly to expand capacity, improve quality, accelerate analysis, and help drive work from initial need through verified completion.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead DevOps and software delivery. Improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines, branching and release workflows, build automation, artifact management, environment configuration, and delivery controls that enable reliable and repeatable software releases.

• Automate with software. Design, develop, and maintain scripts, tools, services, and utilities that eliminate repetitive work, improve developer experience, strengthen release quality, and provide actionable operational insight.

• Drive mobile product launches. Coordinate MobileOps activities for Android and iOS releases, including build readiness, application signing, provisioning, packaging, deployment, configuration, launch planning, release verification, monitoring, and issue response.

• Lead field-support analysis. Analyze logs, telemetry, configurations, software behavior, and system interactions to reproduce field issues, identify root causes, assess product impact, and coordinate durable corrections across mobile, application, cloud, device, and firmware boundaries.

• Build quality and security into delivery. Integrate automated verification, static analysis, security scanning, traceability, diagnostics, approval gates, and release evidence into delivery workflows for an IEC 62304 Class C software environment.

• Use AI to increase capacity and insight. Use approved AI copilots, large language models, and agentic workflows to accelerate scripting, pipeline development, release preparation, documentation, log analysis, troubleshooting, root-cause investigation, and knowledge retrieval. Validate all generated outputs, protect sensitive information, preserve traceability, and maintain meaningful human review and accountability.

• Own work and follow through. Independently organize priorities, clarify requirements, create actionable plans, identify risks and dependencies, communicate status, escalate barriers, and drive commitments through closure with measurable results.

• Lead across functions. Lead through technical ownership, influence, and execution. Partner with software, systems, firmware, cybersecurity, quality, regulatory, infrastructure, clinical, product, and external teams to improve delivery practices and resolve high-priority product issues.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, another relevant technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 5+ years of professional software development, DevOps, release engineering, site reliability, product operations, or related experience supporting complex software products.

• Strong programming and scripting skills using languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, C#, .NET, TypeScript, or JavaScript, with the ability to produce secure, maintainable, production-quality automation.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms and practices such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Git, automated builds, artifact repositories, dependency management, release branching, and deployment automation.

• Experience supporting Android and iOS application releases, including signing, certificates, provisioning, packaging, configuration, enterprise or managed deployment, release verification, monitoring, and rollback planning.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze logs, telemetry, failures, and system behavior; troubleshoot across application, mobile, cloud, network, device, and firmware layers; and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical partners.

• Demonstrated use of AI-enabled development tools, large language models, or agentic workflows to improve engineering productivity, automation quality, operational analysis, and learning, with disciplined validation and responsible use. Strong organization, technical leadership, self-directed execution, prioritization, communication, and reliable follow-through are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting Class III medical-device software and familiarity with IEC 62304 Class C development, ISO 14971 risk management, ISO 13485, FDA design controls, cybersecurity expectations, requirements traceability, and release evidence.

• Experience with SCS, DBS, neuromodulation, connected therapeutic systems, mobile product launches, or field support for active implantable medical devices.

• Experience with Azure or another cloud platform, infrastructure as code, containers, configuration management, observability platforms, dashboards, alerting, or site-reliability practices.

• Experience with connected medical products, Bluetooth Low Energy, embedded systems, firmware integration, device simulators, hardware-in-the-loop environments, or secure mobile-device management.

Mandatory skills:

• Experience supporting Class III medical-device software and familiarity with IEC 62304 Class C development, ISO 14971 risk management, ISO 13485, FDA design controls, cybersecurity expectations, requirements traceability, and release evidence.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $31.44/hour - $49.12/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
