Summary:
The digital content strategist assists in the development and execution of a content strategy that aligns with marketing and communication goals. This person is a data-driven storyteller with an understanding of digital platforms and audience behavior. The digital content strategist is responsible for planning, creating, and optimizing content across various digital channels to drive brand awareness, increase customer engagement and align with performance goals.
- Work with digital content manager to create and maintain a content strategy aligned with marketing and communication goals and target audience needs/preferences.
- Develop content and editorial calendars that support marketing and communication goals while ensuring consistent and timely content delivery.
- Create and distribute high-quality, engaging and optimized content specifically for user experience platforms, including websites, social media and other digital platforms.
- Collaborate with other MarCom teams to plan to produce content and messaging that resonates with target audiences.
- Ensure content adheres to brand guidelines, style guides, and SEO best practices.
- Optimize new and existing content for search engines and user experience.
- Utilize social media management tool to develop and execute social media strategies designed to increase brand awareness and engagement.
- Analyze social media trends and competitor activity.
- Generate reports on content performance, social media engagement, and website traffic, identifying areas for improvement, new content formats and strategies.
Technical Expertise
- Proven experience in marketing and communications is required.
- Proficiency in content creation and management.
- Practical experience analyzing and leveraging data effectively.
- Proficiency with social media management and platforms, e.g., Hootsuite.
- Practical experience with Content Management Systems (CMS), e.g., WordPress.
- Basic knowledge of CRMs (Customer Relationship Management systems), e.g., Salesforce.
- Practical experience with multimedia content creation using tools like the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required
- Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or related field is required, or 8 years of direct related experience.
